I don't know how long I had been out for, but it was the most peaceful sleep I had in months. I was surrounded by warmth and I never wanted to leave this comfy bed. The fluffy duvet seemed to wrap itself tighter around me and I couldn't help but nuzzle myself further into it.

As I leaned into the softness of the duvet I could hear a soft and gentle heartbeat. It brought nothing but comfort and helped soothe my throbbing head. It was one of those sounds that you could listen to all day.

The duvet around me shifted and light slowly seeped through making me realise that it was no longer night time. I don't even remember falling asleep, but that was the best sleep I ever had.

Slowly opening up my eyes, I let my eyes adjust to the brightness of the sky and looked around.

Why was I sleeping outside?

I felt something tighten around me and looked to my side only to notice a very large tail shielding me from the surroundings. I felt something shuffle behind me and felt a firm, warm back pressed tightly against me. Slowly turning my head around in fear, I screamed in horror seeing a large black wolf encircling me as I slept.

The wolf shot up and jolted back as if my scream had scared it. The wolf turned so it faced me and tilted it's head in confusion. I scrambled back against the forest floor and continued to scream in fear. Pushing myself up, I stared at the large black wolf unsure how to react or act. One wrong move could equal my last.

My feet were frozen on the spot as the wolf continued to stare me down like prey. That's what I was. What was I thinking running away with a wild wolf. I should have just listened to my father.

The wolf took another step towards me, but stopped when I screamed and cowered against a large tree.

The wolf whimpered and ran in the opposite direction hiding behind a tree in the distance. I watched nervously as the wolf peered out from behind the tree and stared at me with caution as if it didn't wish to frighten me.

This is certainly not the behaviour of a wild wolf. There was something different with this wolf, something innocent. This wolf protected me whilst I slept, this wolf took me away from my father, my bloody best friend turned into a wolf. Was I surrounded by werewolves. I didn't believe it such things, but now I was starting to believe such things could be real.

Slumping myself down against the tree trunk, I rubbed at my eyes hoping that this was just going to be one crazy dream, but it wasn't.

I was stuck in the middle of a forest with hardly enough clothing to keep me warm and a big black wolf.

The wolf remained behind the tree staring at me intensely.

Clutching my stomach, I tried to quieten the noise of my stomach rumbling and looked around for any signs of food.

Looking back at the wolf, it's ears perked up as if it had heard something and ran off further into the forest.

Great. I'm alone, lost in a forest.

I lowered my head and let my hair fall over my face. Too much had happened and it had happened all too fast. I didn't know what to believe anymore. I had no idea if Brooke was still alive. Would my father really kill her?

I was completely lost in the woods and drowning in my thoughts. I felt like I was suffocating and needed some time alone just to breathe.

Just as my eyes were beginning to shut again due to mental exhaustion, something landed in front of me.

I screamed in horror as the wolf returned and threw a skinned rabbit at my feet. The wolf retreated a little before laying down on it's stomach and tilting it's head at me before looking down at the rabbit he had found for me.
