"Boss!".

I had been summoned to the laboratory by my trusted researcher Stefano in a state of panic.

"What is it Stefano?" I acted just as worried as he was even though I already knew exactly what he was panicking about.

"I left to collect the shipment of drugs and when I came back, h-he was gone".

He pointed to the table where Warrick had laid chained up to for months upon months enduring hours of torture for one simple purpose.

"My oh my, I should kill you for your carelessness-" I grinned as I pulled out my dagger from my waistband and held it to his throat. I couldn't help but smile at the fear in his eyes as I pressed the blade tighter against his throat.

"-If you were to blame".

"W-What?".

"My good man Stefano, he was ready and so I set him free".

Stefano relaxed as I pulled the blade away from his neck and turned to walk back to the table in which a trail of his blood remained.

"Warrick was ready to fulfil the purpose I had for him. He is on his way to her now, ready to reunite with the woman he loves.

"What about their baby?".

Running my fingers through Warrick's blood, I closed my eyes and imagined what he'd do when he met them.

"What about it? He'll meet him and then kill him. Nothing more, nothing less".

Stefano looked down at the blood and frowned. Stefano was easy to read. He felt guilty for what he was apart of, guilty for ruining a family, guilty for the soon death of a newborn baby. But it was too late for redemption, it was done and soon enough Eliza and their son would die by the hands of the man who was meant to love and cherish them both. Forever.

Eliza

I had not left this room for a whole month. I couldn't nor would I leave his side. My little future alpha was getting stronger each day. He was a true fighter, just like Warrick. I had no idea if Warrick was still here, but I truly believed that he appeared to Aaron in his dreams.

There were times when he was fast asleep that he'd smile and make adorable little gurgle sounds. I knew it was Warrick visiting him in his dreams. It had to be.

Brooke had stayed by my side as long as she was able to. But we also had a war to prepare. We had our armies ready, but the battle would have to be pushed back. Aaron was now my priority, but I would also not miss this fight. My body needed time to heal and once it had, I'd join the armies across nations and lead them into battle.

It was 2am and the hospital was quiet. Brooke along with the men that travelled with us had returned back home to plan battle preparations and to help protect the pack. The hospital was secure and I knew me and my little one would be safe on our private ward.

I sat in the chair that was directly in front of the incubator like I would everyday and every night and touched the outer part blocking me from my baby.

It was only a couple of days ago that I was first able to hold Aaron and it was the most wonderful experience I ever had. There was no ever feeling like it. Nothing could compare to the moment when you first hold your baby. Alina was in awe of this tiny little being that we had brought into this world. But like me, she too was devastated that Warrick was not here to share this moment with us.
