John
I had become numb since everything had happened.
Brooke had single handedly killed 14 of my strongest men in her escape with my wife. I knew she had made it back to their pack. And of course I was beyond livid about Kyle's death. He could have been the puzzle piece to destroy both Brooke and Eliza. But Brooke was smart killing him.
It had been some time since their escape and I could have sent men after them, but I didn't want to. It would be pointless.
My priority was on the packs closest to us and the people we had kidnapped from the pack my daughter and wife were now staying in.
I had rounded up all the men, women and children and had them placed in an empty room with only 1 window. I had a purpose for them when the time came.
I knew exactly what was coming. Their return would get round to all the packs that we had attacked over the years. They'd bring hope to them and eventually all the packs would unite to take us down.
I wouldn't let that happen.
Lessons needed to be taught and it would be the innocent to pay the price.
"Are all the exits blocked?" I whispered to Samuel who was in charge of strategical attacks.
"Yes. It's perfect timing as their warriors are chasing down the rouges you let free. It's just women, children, elderly and a few guards".
Staring at the vulnerable pack who I could hear were excited by Alpha Warrick's return with his 'saviour' Luna, I smiled a menacing smile as soon their sweet homely pack would be stained red with blood as a message to the newly risen Alpha.
"Perfect. Kill everyone in sight".
I could hear my men transform into wolves behind me. They were out for blood just as much as I was. This is what it was. Lust for bloodshed, thirst for revenge and the thrill of the kill.
"I've made my move, it's your turn Alpha Warrick".
I gave Eliza a chance to come back so her life would be spared, but now I had no choice. The next time I see my daughter will be the day I end her life.

Eliza
"Ah Eliza. I see you've now met our Alpha in his human for- what the hell? How the hell did this happen?".
The doctor rushed over to Warrick and assessed his injuries. The injuries I inflicted on him unintentionally.
I stared down at the floor in shame.
"It was an accident" I blurted out with my eyes still glued to the floor.
I could feel both of them looking at me intensely but I paid them no attention. On our first official meeting in human form, I broke my mate's damn nose. What a way to start our life together.
I could hear Warrick laugh, but the doctor remained completely silent.
"It was my fault. I wanted to be with her and got a little too close to her face. So when she awoken and saw me, she thought I was an intruder and punched me square in the nose. Foolish of me not to see it coming".
Warrick glanced at me with a smile on his face. How he's still smiling at me after I broke his nose made no sense.
"Wow, quite a punch you gave him".
"She's one hell of a fighter" Warrick interjected with his eyes firmly glued on mine.
I wanted to protest, I was no fighter but something about being with him made me feel stronger and more confident. A part of me was still sceptical about this mate bond. I still had so many questions.
