Third pov

Raven had just fastened her new sword, Grimfrost she knew it was called, at her hip when a voice approached from the trees in rapid pace.

"Thieves! Fire! Murder!"

The old man that came on a sledge drawn by rabbits was short and very much looked like he could not care less what others opinion on him were.

"Radagast." Gandalf greeted the strange man while the others just stared, weapons raised and unsure of how to proceed. "It's Radagast the Brown."

As Gandalf asked what the other wizard was doing there, Raven relaxed her stance but she was still weirded out by the two of them. She could understand her mothers refusal to deal with wizards. They were so...... strange.

When they went to talk privately she sat on a rock, sword still hanging loosely in her hand.

The company was quiet as they waited.

Until the howl of a warg pierced the air.

It made the hairs on Raven's body stand and goosebumps cover her.

"Was that a wolf? Are there wolves out there?" Bilbo sounded nervous as he asked.

Bofur shook his head, picking up his axe. "Wolves? No, that is not a wolf."

Raven looked around them with her sword ready in hand.

A warg jumped on her from behind and she had to hold back from it's jaws to avoid the teeth biting her head of. Thorin cut it down while shouting for Kili to get his bow.

The young prince managed to take out the second warg while Thorin helped Raven get up.

She was mostly okay except for her ribs feeling like they were going to burst. "Warg scouts. Which means an orc pack isn't far behind." She got out through gritted teeth.

"Orc pack?" Bilbo looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there.

"Who did you tell about your quest beyond your kin?" Gandalf asked Thorin.

"No one."

"Who did you tell?!"

"No one, i swear."

Raven gave Gandalf a look. "Tell us what's going on instead of arguing with Thorin!"

"You're being hunted."

Raven felt dread seep into her veins. "Then we have to get out of here. Preferably now!"

"We can't. We have no ponies, they bolted!" Ori said as he came from checking on them.

"I'll draw them off." Radagast decided.

"These are Gundabad Wargs. They will outrun you." Gandalf said as he turned to his long time friend.

Said friend smirked. "These are Rosgobel rabbits. I'd like to see them try."

********************

Raven pushed her friends in front of her as they ran, putting the youngsters first and her last.

She felt the air cold in her lungs and her feet hit the ground as they ran. They had to change directions a few times since the Wargs and Orcs weren't far away. But she could still hear Thorin asking Gandalf about where he was leading them.

She already knew. Had already figured out he would take them to Rivendell at first chance and here that chance was.

When Kili shot the warg they gained the attention of its friends and now they were running for real. And there was no way out for them.

Raven's ribs where throbbing and she felt out of breath and she felt a small fever burn inside her body. This was going bad real fast.

Until Gandalf found a passage in the boulders further ahead and they went for it.

Raven tumbled down after Bombur and thought she was going to vomit when her side hit the rocks.

She could see Oin's worry as he helped her up.

A dead orc landed right behind her, an elven arrow sticking out of its chest. Something Thorin confirmed when he pulled it out. "Elves." He gave Gandalf a dark look.

Dwalin had looked further in on the path and shouted to them. "I cannot see where the pathway leads. Do we follow it or no?"

Oin was the first to answer. "We follow it." He gave Raven a gentle nudge in the right direction before sharing a look with Thorin.

Raven wasn't well off.

When they came to the end they could finally see Imladris. Or Rivendell, as it was called in the common tongue.
