Stella

I took a long bath, just soaking in the warm water, before dressing warmly. The tray was in the kitchen, which was otherwise empty. I ate the breakfast, drank the juice and contemplated what to do. It would be cool if they had a TV. Maybe streaming.

But I hadn't seen a TV, and the globe wouldn't show me anything which reminded me of a show. So that left me with very little to do.

I decided to stay in the kitchen, simply because it had a nice warmth. And since Lucinda wasn't present, I would make something.

Hades had pissed me off. It was a bloody room. Like, it could change. Except for him it didn't. But that was another thing I didn't know because he wouldn't tell.

I had this feeling that the only way I would learn anything was through the attic. And since the castle had several towers, there must be several attics.

After having finished baking the chocolate cake I'd set out for, I cut myself a humongous slice, wrapped it in paper and went to an unexplored part of the castle with steps all the way up.

The hatch was hidden. The ladder was positioned against the wall. I positioned the ladder and ascended it, opening the trapdoor and stepped into a loft which seemed to have been unused for a long time.

Dust was covering most of the surfaces, though the roof was in perfect condition.

I ate the cake while it was still lukewarm, pocketed the paper I'd wrapped it in and searched through the attic. The dust caused me to sneeze, and I abandoned the mission before I'd been through everything.

Back in my room I showered and put on other clothes. In the kitchen Lucinda was back and had made lunch.

"Are you doing okay?" she asked.
