Chapter 5: Exploring

Angel's POV:

"Angel!!" Someone said. I furrowed my brows. "Angel wake up!!" Chrystal said. I opened my eyes and jumped and she was staring straight at me. "Girl the hell wrong with you!? You don't sneak up on a black person. That's how you die." I hissed. She rolled her eyes. "Get up." She said. "For what?" I asked.

My voice was groggy. "Just get up. And get dressed." She said. "And grab a flashlight." Sophia said. I yawned then paused. "Flashlight? Bitch what y'all doing?" I asked, curiously. "We're going exploring." Sophia said. I looked at both of them and laid back down. "Bitch y'all got me fucked up." I said, as I pulled the covers over my head.

They were yanked off immediately. "Would y'all stop?" I said. They both shushed me. "Angel come on. This'll be fun. And worth it. I promise." Chrystal said. I looked at her then at my phone. "Why are we going exploring at 6:30 late in the day?" I asked. "Because it's fun." She said. "Chrystal no. We're going back home tomorrow and I don't want to get caught sneaking off and on the yacht." I said.

"Sophia. Help me." She said. Angel come on. We won't even be gone long." Sophia said. I looked at her. I thought about it. "Where are we going?" I asked, curiously. "Just going to take some more pictures for our project." She said. I narrowed my eyes at both of them.

I sighed and got dressed. "Fine." I said. They squealed. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I put on my shoes and we walked out the door. Chrystal looked around then handed me a flashlight. "What made y'all suddenly decide to go exploring late in the day?" I asked. "Chrystal suggested it." Sophia said.

"Why am I not surprised?" I said. "Bitch fuck you. Look exploring late in the day is not that bad." She said. She led the way out onto the decks. We hid when we heard footsteps. We peeled to see a staff member wandering around. "Why didn't you ask to explore yesterday?" I asked.

"Because I didn't want anyone else to explore with me." Chrystal said. "Gurl..." I said. We snuck past the staff member and jumped off the yacht and ran into the woods. "Bro the yacht has been repaired. It's gonna be leaving soon." I said. "Yeah. I can't believe the yacht broke down. They said something happened to one of the engines." Sophia said.

"They took all day yesterday and all morning this morning to fix it." I said. "Well they wouldn't let us back off the yacht since it broke down. So I'm gonna use this time to explore." Chrystal said. We turned on our flashlights and walked around. "Chrystal we do gotta be careful. There are animals out here." Sophia said. "Exactly." I said.

Chrystal rolled her eyes. "Guys relax. Okay? I've been exploring before. I've always been careful." She said. We wandered around, taking pictures of the forest til we saw a bear. We all froze in place. It looked at us but kept walking til it was out of sight. "See? We're safe." Chrystal said. "For now." I said. I watched as Sophia took more pictures of the forest. I looked around. The forest was really beautiful.
