Chapter 23: Showdown

Angel's POV:

As Jordan drove the car towards Mia's aunt's house, I could feel my blood boil. Tears streamed down my face as I could already imagine Mia dead from my hands. I looked up in the rear view mirror at Chrystal. Tears streamed down her face as well. We both were still reeling from Sophia's death. Her funeral was yesterday.

It was two o clock in the morning. Jordan had an idea on where Mia could be hiding, as we haven't seen her since she killed Sophia. I didn't wanna wait til the morning to find Mia. I looked at Chrystal. She shook her head as she cried into Jacob's shirt for the fifth time. I looked at the empty seat next to her. Seeing it empty and Sophia not in it made my eyes well up.

I stifled my cried. When we found Mia, I wanted to be focused and not crying. I didn't wanna show her that she got to me. I WILL avenge my friend's death. Mia was not getting off the hook for this. If she thought she was gonna get away with this, she was sadly mistaken. I felt someone put their hand on mine. I turned my head to see Jordan. He eyed at me cautiously.

I turned away and said, "I'm fine Jordan." My voice broke at his name. "No you're not." He said. That's when the waterworks broke. I cried in my arms. I missed Sophia so much. I cried so hard, I threw up. I didn't think such a thing could happen. I cried til I fell asleep. I woke up to Chrystal shaking me lightly. "Angel? Angel get up. We're here." She said. I yawned and stretched. I looked around and saw a house.

We got out and walked towards it. "You sure this her Aunt's house?" I asked. "Positive. Me and Jordan hate coming here." Jacob said. He walked up to the door and ringed the doorbell a bunch of times. It was a minute before the door opened. A woman looked at us. "May I help you?" She said. "I hope you can." Chrystal said. "Remember us?" Jordan said. The woman looked at him and Jacob then tried to close the door.

They stopped her and pushed the door open. "Mia!! Mia run!!!" She screamed. Then we heard running footsteps. We ran towards them. Then I heard a loud crack. I turned around to see Jacob with the woman's head in his hands. "I never liked you, you creepy bitch." He said. I turned on my heel and ran alongside Chrystal and Jordan. We heard a door open.

We followed the running footsteps and saw Mia running towards a lake. "Oh hell no." I said. I used my powers to make a rock hit Mia in her head. She fell to the ground. She turned around and looked at us. She raised her hand and used the moon ring. It glowed brightly. We all dodged the energy blast. Mia then got up but I wasn't gonna let her run again.

I picked up some dirt and threw it at her. She cried out and wiped her face. She ran into the woods disappeared. "Nah man. MIA!!" Jordan yelled. "Mia come out and take this ass whooping!!" Chrystal yelled. I stifled a laugh. "Yeah!! Come on out Mia!! It's time for a showdown." I said. I heard her cackling. "Give it up Angel!!! I killed Sophia. What makes you think I won't kill you?!" She yelled.

"A lot of shit tells me you ain't got the balls to kill me bitch!!" I yelled. I carefully looked around for any sign of her. All of a sudden, I was hit in my back with something. I was knocked down to the ground. I looked up to see Jordan get knocked down too. So did Chrystal and Jacob. Mia cackled. "None if you will be able to take me down. I told you!! I'm all powerful!!" She yelled.

Hit after hit after hit, Mia kept knocking us down using the moon ring. We all used our powers against her but the moon ring absorbed our powers. With that moon ring, we're powerless. Just as I was about to give up and admit defeat, I looked up to see something crazy. A ghost mermaid. Then she glowed and turned into someone. I gasped and widened my eyes. "It's you!!!" I cried.
