Jordan's POV:

"And done." Jacob said. I sighed in relief. "Finally. Our project is done." Mia said. We laid back on my bed and relaxed. "Now we just gotta glue our pictures on the poster board and we'll be officially done." I said. "I'm not printing them. I wrote the paragraphs in cursive." Mia said. "I put the colors together and I did the header and footer." Jacob said.

"Fine. I'll print them." I growled, as I stood up and purposely bumped into their legs. I walked to my Dad's study and got on his computer. I searched for my files when I heard footsteps. "Jordan? What are you doing on my computer?!" Dad asked. I rolled my eyes. "I need to printer the pictures me, Jacob, and Mia took. Our project is almost done." I said, annoyed.

"Oh. Are you sure y'all do everything your supposed to do? I don't want to see anything less than a A." He said. "Yes we did everything. I'm tired." I said. I hit print and the papers flew out and landed on the floor. I growled. Dad chuckled. "You really must be tired. You never get mad when the printer does that." He said, as he picked up some papers.

I did the same. "I am. Where's the glue?" I asked. He pointed to his desk. I walked over and picked it up. Something caught me eye. I looked at the trash can. There was a positive pregnancy test. Positive? No way Mom's pregnant. They were just talking about having another kid this morning. "Jordan?" Dad called. "Hmm?" I said.

"Did you find the glue?" He asked. I nodded. "Uh yeah." I said, as I gathered the papers and left. I ran to my room. I ran in and locked my door. "Jordan what's up?" Jacob asked. "You won't believe this." I said. "What happened? Don't tell me we have to wait to get the pictures." Mia said. I put the pictures on the table.

"I found a positive pregnancy test in my Dad's trash can." I said. "So your Mom is pregnant?" Mia said. "I don't know but they were just talking about having another kid this morning. No way she got pregnant that fast." I said. "Maybe she was pregnant and didn't tell anyone." Jacob said. "If she was, she wouldn't just leave a positive pregnancy test in my Dad's den." I said.

They looked at each other. "Plus my Mom would tell us if she was pregnant." I said. "So let's go ask her." Mia said, as she stood up. "What? No way. Then she'll know I was eavesdropping on her and Dad." I said. "So what?" Jacob said. He and Mia walked around me and out the door. We walked downstairs and found my Mom outside near the docks. We walked out ran towards her.

We stopped when we saw her pull out some wine. She poured a glass and drunk it. I looked at Jacob and Mia. "So she's not pregnant." I said. "Then whose pregnancy test was that?" Jacob asked. I looked back at my Mom. She was laying down, reading a book and drinking her wine. "You don't think your Dad is cheating?" Mia asked. I looked back at the house.

"I hope not." I said. "Alison!!" Mia called. Mom looked at us. She got up and walked over to us. "Hey. How's the project coming along? Are you guys done?" She asked. "Almost. Mom if you were pregnant, would you tell us?" I asked, curiously. She stared at me. "Why?" She asked. I looked at Jacob.

"Uh we're asking for a friend." He lied. Mom looked at Mia. "Mia are you....?" Mom trailed off. Mia's eyes widened. She quickly shook her head. "No no no no no!!! We're asking for a friend. She doesn't know how to tell her...boyfriend." She lied. I looked at Mom.

"Well obviously, if I was pregnant, I would tell you." She said, crossing her arms. "Oh. Just wondering." I said, quickly. I pushed Jacob and Mia back towards the house. "Not so fast. Jordan what's going on?" Mom asked. "I told you. I was asking for a friend. If a woman was pregnant, I wounded if she would or wouldn't tell someone." I said. She glared at me.
