Chapter 6: Missing

Jordan's POV:

I rolled over and felt hard something hard against me. I opened my eyes jumped. I saw Jacob sleeping next to me. He must've sleep walked again. I got up and walked to the bathroom. I took a bath and brushed my teeth. I came back in to see Jacob still sleeping. I debated whether or not to get dressed with him in the room.

Fuck it. He still sleep. I opened my dresser and put a shirt on. "Jordan?" Mom called. I opened the door a bit. "Yeah?" I said. "Oh good. Your up. Hurry u and pack up all of your stuff. We're back at the mainland." She said. "Have we already docked?" I asked. "Yep. Everyone is all packing up and getting ready to leave." She said. Then she yawned.

I looked at my phone. "Why couldn't we wait til the morning to get off?" I asked. "Because your father wanted to hurry up and get back before another engine broke down. He's taking this one in for repairs too. We don't want another engine to fail and people start suing us." She said, before she walked away. I closed the door. "Oh God!!" Someone said.

I turned around to see Jacob covering his face. "Man what the fuck are you doing?!" He cried. "I'm getting dressed." I said. "In my room?" He said. "Look around." I said, as I put on some pants. He looked around. "Oh. I must've sleep walked in here." He said. "Yeah." I said. He yawned. "What time is it?" He asked. "11:00." I said.

He groaned and laid back down. "I'm still tired." He said. "Look we docked already so when you get off the yacht, you can go home and get back in bed." I said. He stretched. "This week went by fast. I'm not ready to leave this yacht. It's amazing." He said. "I know that's why my Dad bought it." I said, ask put on my shoes.

I looked back at Jacob. He had his eyes closed. I slapped the bed three times. "Nun uh. You not falling asleep in my bed. Go to yours and start packing up." I said. He groaned and stood up. I grabbed my suitcases and started packing. Jacob left shortly after. I left my room and headed my parents room. "I'm just saying Brian, we should be lenient on them." Mom said.

"No Alison. Everyone paid a fee for my partnership. They gotta pay it too." He said. "Dad, not every an afford your 'partnership'." I said, as I walked in the room. He glared at me. "Well that's not my problem." He said. "Brian think about it. She wouldn't have sign that contract if she wasn't desperate to keep her aquarium open." Mom said.

Dad scoffed. "Who?" I asked. "That couple whose threatening to sue me for harassment." Dad said. "Well you are harassing them about this deal." I said. "I'm not harassing Jordan. I'm encouraging. There's a difference." He said. "Yeah and your harassing." Mom said. "Who side you on?" He asked. "The side that doesn't involve my family going bankrupt because a certain person won't let up on the couple whose threatening to sue." She said, before she stormed out.

I looked at Dad. "Dad she's right. Not everyone can afford your partnership. They don't have much money." I said. He looked at me. "How do you know?" He asked. "If they could afford, they would have paid it by now." I said. He thought about it then scoffed. "Son there's a lot about this business world you have yet to understand." He said.

I crossed my arms. "I know enough that I shouldn't harass the people who wants my partnership in a business that I didn't start." I said. He looked at me. I realized what I just said and wished I could take them back. "Jordan understand something." Dad said. He walked towards me. "When I make a deal with someone, it benefits us both." He said.

He put his hand on my shoulder. "And usually when someone partners with you, you always get something out of it. Whether it's money or something else...." He said. My mind raced on what that something else could be. "But whatever it is, you get it. No. Questions. Asked. If someone can afford my partnership, then everybody wins." He said.
