Angel's POV:
Two Months Later*

"Alright Angel I'm out." Mama said. I looked at her. She put on her coat before glancing at Jordan. I invited him over since he was sick. Mama still didn't trust him and me to be left alone but she had no choice but to get over it. Jordan was sick and I wanted to take care of him since his Mom was pregnant.

He didn't want to get her sick. "Alright Mama." I said. I looked at Jordan. He had his back turned me as he laid down on his side. "Mama I'm gone too. I need to get to the hospital." Kiana said, as she came downstairs. I looked down at her stomach. It had gotten bigger as the months went by. Turns out Mama should've paid more attention to her than me.

Kiana got pregnant by her boyfriend. Mama was so focused on Jordan making a move on me that she forgot she had another child. Kiana kinda snitched on herself. She got into a fight with her boyfriend's ex girlfriend because she found Kiana was pregnant. It was a boy. Kiana was so excited but Mama felt otherwise.

I didn't care but I did care that Mama doesn't trust me or Jordan but allowed Kiana do as she pleased. It was unfair. I watched as she and Mama walked out the door. I looked at Jordan. He must've felt my gaze because he turned and looked at me. He sat up and said, "It's amazing that your Mom will break her neck to see what I could do to you but won't look at all the red flags Kiana's been doing." He said.

I laughed. "I know right?" I said. He turned his head and coughed. "Want me to make you some more soup?" I asked. He shook his head. "No. If I eat another bowl of chicken noodle, I'm gonna scream." He said, as he laid back down on the couch. "Chicken noodle is the best." I said. "It is but too much of something eventually becomes nasty." He said.

I nodded. "Ain't that the truth? I was obsessed with apple pies from Sonic. One day, I guess my body didn't want it anymore. I threw it all up on the ground. Now I can't even stand the smell of apple pie." I said. He looked at me before scoffing. "Please. Apple pie is the best." He said. Then his phone ringed. "Yo? Oh hey Mia.....I don't feel like it right now." He said. I rolled my eyes.

He looked at me. "I'm still sick dumbass. I don't feel like swimming." He said. I got up and walked to the kitchen. I began to make hot pockets. I came back over and sat down across from Jordan. He stared at me. I looked up at him. "What?" I said. "What's with the attitude?" He asked. I sighed. "Mia." I said.

"Why? What she do to you?" He asked. "Not to me. Lately she's been such a bitch. Plus she's been picking on Sophia, even when Sophia just sits there." I said. He cocked his head to the side. "That's not like her." He said. "I know. I don't know what it is, but I feel like there's something amiss with her." I said.

He chuckled. "I didn't amiss was in your vocabulary." He said. I glared at him. "Come on Angel." He said. I continued to glare at him. "Okay I will admit she has been somewhat of a bitch lately." He said. "Somewhat? Are you kidding? She starts fights with Sophia for no reason." I said.

"Look I don't know what's up with her. If you wanna know, go ask her." He said. "No because then she might try to defend herself and say that she hasn't. Sophia has had mental breakdowns because of her. I will not stand by and watch my best friend get bullied by her ex." I said.

He came over and put his arms around me. "Angel look. Mia can be defensive sometimes." He said. I pulled away from him. "Sometimes? No way. I may not have been friends with Mia for as long as you have but I know she doesn't just get defensive. Since she can't back from her Aunt's house, she's been....different." I said.

He nodded. "I agree. Her aunt was always into weird stuff and Mis does sometimes get mixed up in it. But Mia has always been strong. Maybe Mia is becoming different." He said. "Yeah. I've noticed." I said. The question is why?
