Chapter 10: History

Jordan's POV:

"Wow. Mr. Griffin. Excellent presentation. Mia, Jacob, you too. That's an A for all three of you. Have a seat. Whose next?" The teacher said. I looked at Jacob and Mia and smirked. We sat down on our seats next to each other. "Let's see....we have oh. Ms. Starlight? Your project with....Chrystal and Sophia. Please come up here." He said. I watched as Angel and the girls walked up to the front of the room.

They gave their presentation for their project on the Luxury Experience. It was incredible. After they were done, they sat back down. I looked at Angel. Something about her was different. Her, Chrystal, and Sophia. They looked the same yet something about them was different. After class, we went to lunch.

I decided to sit next to her. She looked at me. "Oh hey Jordan. You report was awesome." She said. "So was yours. The pictures y'all took were better than ours." I said. "Oh please. Ours was better." Jacob said, playfully. Chrystal giggled. He smiled at her. "Control yourself." Someone said. Kiana came over and sat down in front of me.

"What do you mean?" I asked. "White boy I ain't stupid. I know you have a crush on Angel." She said. I saw from the corner of my eye that Angel looked at me. I keep a straight face. "Kiana, first off, mind ya fucking business. You don't know who I like. Second off, stop calling me white boy. That's not my name. Thirdly, Angel is bad and all, but if I liked her I would say something." I said. It got quiet.

"Bitch on hush mode." Mia said, cackling. I got up and walked out the cafeteria. Jacob and Mia followed me. "Finally. Someone put that bitch in her place." Mia said. "Man look. Don't get me wrong Kiana cool and funny and all, but she do need to watch what she say." Jacob said. "Exactly. She thinks knows everybody just cause she got a lot of friends." I said.

I heard running footsteps. I looked behind me to see Angel. "Jordan I am so sorry for her. She's...just upset right now. Her boyfriend recently left her and so she's been lashing out at people lately." She said. "Angel I don't have a problem with you and I don't care what your sister is going through but tell her she needs to control her mouth. Her boyfriend left her, so what? Didn't he get another bitch pregnant?" I said. She stared at me.

"How'd you know that?" She asked, curiously. "I know her boyfriend, Ramon. I have a lot of friends too. He got a bitch pregnant and he left Kiana so he can be with her. That's all that is. She has nobody to be mad at but Ramon." I said. She stared at me before walking away. "Damn Jordan. You isn't she to break it to her like that." Jacob said.

"Well her and Kiana needed to know." I said. We walked off towards the parking lot. We drove off campus to get some McDonald's. We came back and ate in the car. The bell rung and we went to our last class. It went by fast. Me, Mia, and Jacob went to the beach. "Jordan you good? You've been since lunch." Mia said.

I nodded. "Yeah I'm fine." I said. "So what about that thing with your Dad?" Jacob asked. I sighed. "I'm not gonna worry about that. It's none of my business. I'm gonna stay out of it." I said. "Wanna go for a swim?" Mia asked. I nodded. "Sure." I said. We all ran out into the water. I felt my legs become tingly and numb and my tail appeared.
