"Where are you going Ghetto?"
"I need to blow off some steam" the hybrid said in a low growl as he turned around to face the Major, whom nearly stepped back while the hairs on the back of his neck stood up a bit a the slight feral glint in Ghetto's eyes which gave Grey a slight idea of what was going on.
"Mmm....alright, just watch yourself out there" the Major simply said which Ghetto barely gave him a nod before turning around and quickly stepped outside.
(Few Hours Later)
"Why isn't it working!" Ghetto hissed to himself as he kept swinging his axe into the unmoving zombie, taking out his frustration on it.
For the last few days, the feeling of restlessness slowly grew in his chest while the heat in his stomach was growing warmer along with the dull ache in his gums which didn't help with the restlessness. He could also feel the feeling of aggressiveness slowly growing which caused him to sometimes snap at the others despite him trying to keep it down. And it doesn't help that his boyfriend of one year was nearby didn't help with his instincts. All the signs revealed him to be in a rut which happens once a year.
"I wish I found that pill before it started" Ghetto hissed at himself, slightly angry that he couldn't find a pill that would have kept his rut down since he used the last one he found last year which was lucky since the hybrid knew that Nick wouldn't be ready for that. His only hope would be to keep Nick at arms length until the rut fades away within a week.
'This is going to be fucking hard' he thought with a sigh before swinging the axe down on the unmoving body before heading back to the base.
Xxxxxxx
When he got back, he was lucky that he didn't run into anyone and knew that the only people awake are AK and Shark, whom are located on the roof, being on lookout.
Slightly rubbing his temple, Ghetto quietly made his way to the bedroom, hoping to get some sleep as well as hoping that it would calm himself down. Though as soon as he stepped into the bedroom and flicked the light switch on, Ghetto was taken by complete surprise when he was suddenly faced with the one person he's been trying to avoid.
"N-Nick!? W-What are you doing here?" Ghetto slightly exclaimed, his voice cracking a bit as he felt the heat in his stomach suddenly grow, making him nervous.
"I sleep here with you" Nick simply stated with an amused smile which made Ghetto mentally slap himself, forgetting about that information. Soon the amusement changed into seriousness and concern as the brunet stood up. "Is everything alright Ghetto? I mean.....you've been avoiding everyone and kept me at a distance....did I do something wrong?" Nick asked him a few questions before the seriousness changed into sadness at the end, making the hybrid tense up.
"N-No! You did nothing wrong!" Ghetto told the younger in a firm voice before moving towards the brunet and pulled him into a tight hug, comforting his lover. "T-then what's wrong?" Nick softly asked as he looked up at the older before feeling him tense up once again and became more worried.
'Shit! Why did I do that!?' Ghetto mentally yelled at himself as he slowly broke into a cold sweat while trying to stop himself from shaking but failing. He could already feel his mind going hazy due to the heat coming from Nick which caused the hybrid to unconsciously pull the human closer while leaning against his shoulder, trying to get more of the heat.
