(Ten Years Later)

"Mother, have you seen Crainer?"

The mother looked back to see her son standing by the doorway of the kitchen with a worried expression and his ears slightly twitching.

"Mm...I think I'd seen him head out this morning" she calmly said before smiling a bit when she saw Ian instantly running out before turning her attention back to the dishes.

(Outside)

'Why did you leave the village?' Ian thought when he followed Crainer's scent towards one of the opening of the village.

Normally it would be very difficult to find anyone within the village due to the scent getting mixed up, but for Crainer, his scent was different to a wolf hybrid's scent therefore, Ian was able to easily follow the scent.

Getting worried, Ian stepped out of the village and kept following the scent which it led him to a large meadow with a large lake. The wolf hybrid looked around in awe for a few seconds before turning his attention back to the lake to find the one he was looking for and made his way there.

"Hey Crainer" Ian greeted the lamb hybrid, catching his attention as the wolf hybrid sat down next to him. Crainer looked slightly shocked by his arrival before looking away from the wolf hybrid, making Ian frown a bit before pushing his shoulder against Crainer's. "What's wrong?" Ian softly asked, getting more worried by the silence between them.

The silence between them only lasted for a few minutes before Crainer broke it by letting out a sigh and suddenly rested his head on Ian's shoulder. "Do you think I don't belong here?"

Ian was surprised by Crainer's question and looked down at him, "What? You do belong here" Ian quickly said with a frown, "Who told you that" the wolf asked with a low growl as he wrapped his arm around Crainer's shoulder and his tail around the other's waist.

The lamb's ear lowered a bit in sadness, "J-Just some of the other kids....they think that an outcast like me doesn't belong with you all" Crainer softly said, his voice cracking a bit, making the wolf growl louder, pulling the lamb close.

"Don't listen to them Crainer" Ian started to say, "You DO belong here, I don't care if we're different, you're part of the pack" he said before placing a loving kiss on Crainer's forehead, making the lamb look up at him with a soft blush, but having a small happy smile.

"T-Thanks for that Ian..." the lamb softly said before leaning up and placing a small kiss on the corner of Ian's lips, making the wolf blush and looked away to hide it, but his tail started wagging. "I-It's the truth Crainer..."

The lamb giggle a bit before leaning close to the wolf, enjoying his warmth. The comfortable silence between them lasted for a few more minutes before the lamb interrupted it again.

"C-Can you help me with my horns?" Crainer asked as he pulled away which Ian looked back to the other to see his horns slightly shedding a bit but luckily Ian's claws could easily help.

"Sure" Ian smiles before pulling Crainer between his legs and started to use his claws to lightly run them along Crainer's horns, making the lamb sigh in relief and leans against him.
