"So this is where you are"

Ghetto looked behind him to see his friend, Nick, climbing through the entrance to the roof. "Hey" he simply greeted as Nick moved to his side before sitting beside him, leaving his legs hanging over the edge as well. They simply sat in silence as they were enjoying the cool breeze as well as the moonlight which caused Ghetto to take a glance at the brunet and couldn't help but notice on how the moonlight seem to soften his features making him look beautiful.

Quickly blushing a bit, Ghetto swiftly looked away and when he did, he didn't notice Nick looking at him with a knowing smile before quietly scooting close. Soon the hybrid slightly jumped when he felt warm arms wrapping around his stomach and looked down to see Nick resting his head against the other's chest.

"We've been dating for nearly two years and you're still shy" Nick stated with a slight giggle making Ghetto blush a bit more before wrapping both his arm and tail around the smaller's waist before moving backwards enough for just their feet to hang over the edge and soon laid down on their backs to look up at the sky.

They were simply enjoying the comfortable silence for a few minutes until Nick broke the silence.

"Its almost midnight" he stated making Ghetto look down at him with his eyebrow raised. "How the hell do you even know that?" the hybrid asked, slightly curious in which Nick raised his free hand, pointing up at the full moon. "The moon is almost at the center of the sky" Nick told him with a slight chuckle.

"And you know what else?"

"What?"

"Its almost going to be the next year"

Ghetto was taken by surprise by the statement, "How did you even figure that out?" he asked since it was the zombie apocalypse, he assumed that everyone wouldn't be bothered with remembering or even keep up with the dates.

"I kept track of the days as a way to keep the normality......" Nick answered in which Ghetto could understand the reasoning behind it.

Suddenly Nick sat up and slightly leaned over the hybrid whom was slightly surprised by the sudden movement.

"Happy New Years Ghetto" Nick softly said before leaning down and kisses him, surprising the older form a moment before kissing back while gently cupping the smaller's cheek, bringing him closer.
