Painful News

Leila's P.O.V

Alice quickly went out of the room with Edward and all the others except for Jasper. Leila was terrified. What is happening. She sat down and watched as Seth walked out then started crying. Jasper sat beside her and held her hand. A wave of peace washed over her and she knew it was him. She smiled slightly and gratefully accepted that he was changing her mood. Her body was heating up and sweat dripped down her neck. "I need to go outside. I need fresh air. And it's cold out there."

"Leila. I do not know what is happening and neither do you. It's safer if you stay inside until Alice tells us what she saw."

Leila didn't argue. She just sat in silence beside Jasper until Alice and the others eventually came out later. Seth had a look of fear and concern on his face. Carlisle turned to Alice. "Do you wish to tell her now?" Alice nodded then walked over to Leila and sat on the other side of her. 

"Leila. You are going to transform tonight. You are a wolf. But not like Seth and Jake. I.. I saw you phasing  and you were in immense pain for the whole night. You also were unable to change back until the morning came. Something is.. wrong. But we will figure this out. You just need to hold on." She held Leila's hands. "We will all be here for you. But you need to know that the transformation will last all night. Once you become a wolf Seth and Jacob will be there for you. You can even go to Sam and Emily's house while you phase. Or Jacob's. You can make it through this."

Leila looked down and tears fell down her face. She was so afraid. Terrified even.

Seth's P.O.V

Alice left out a bit she told Seth and the others. She had told them that she might not survive. The pain would be so excruciating and for so long that she might die. Seth went over to her quickly and lifted her into his arms. Her hugged her and she hugged him back. Her arms were shaking and her skin was scolding hot.

Seth realised he had to tell her he loved her. It could be his last chance. "Leila. I need to speak to you. A-alone." Edward heard his thoughts and a look of sorrow covered his face.

Leila spoke softly. "Okay." Seth carried her outside quickly and into the forest. He wanted to speak to her completely alone. He sat her down on a log and faced her. 

"Leila.. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever met. And I want.. I want to be with you. Be by your side forever. I love you so much and I've imprinted on you." He looked down. Afraid at what she'd say. But she didn't say a word. He looked at her and she was crying again but she was smiling at him. She put her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her. She kissed him. Her lips were burning hot but he didn't mind because they were so soft and delicate. He kissed her back. Forgetting for a moment about what was going to happen to her that night.

Leila stopped kissing him suddenly and he pulled away and looked at her. "Leila? Are you okay? What's happening." Leila just glanced in the distance. The sun was starting to set. Seth lifted her into his arms and ran back to the Cullen's house. "Jake! I think it's starting. Should we take her to Sam? To the pack? Your house?"

Jacob nodded. "Carlisle come too. and Edward. We might need a doctor and a mind reader." Jacob kissed Renesmee quickly then they all ran out to Carlisle's car and got in. Carlisle got in the front, Edward in the passenger seat and Jacob got in the back with Seth who was cradling Leila in his arms.

Carlisle sped down the road to Emily's place. Leila closed her eyes tightly and winced in pain. Seth tied her hair up out of her face with a hair tie that was around  her wrist. It was hurting him that she was in this pain. He kissed her on the lips again quickly. Jacob noticed and smiled at him for finding the courage to tell her.

By the time they arrived at Emily's Leila was crying out in pain. Sam rushed to the car with an angry look on his face. Who knows what Kai told him. But as soon as he saw Leila his face changed to a more worried one and he quickly opened the door to the house. Seth ran in and Carlisle explained the situation to Sam. Jacob went in with Seth.

Seth laid Leila on the couch and grasped her hand. "Leila. Look at me. Look at me now come on."

Leila turned her head and looked at Seth. Her eyes were filled with tears and her skin was glistening with her sweat. "S-Seth I'm afraid." She blinked the tears and they fell down her face.

"I know. I am too. But you can do this. We'll be by your side the whole way." He gestured to Jacob and himself. "I'll be here. No matter what happens." Leila nodded.

Carlisle ran inside and over to Leila. He put a thermometre in her mouth. "Emily! Run an ice cold bath right now. She's dangerously hot." Emily nodded and ran off to fill the bath. Jacob helped by grabbing a bag of ice from the freezer.

Leila screamed in agony and Seth watched in horror as her bones began to break beneath her skin. His stomach tied itself in a knot and he couldn't breathe. She's going to die.
