Commitment

Kai's P.O.V

Kai walked down the street. His shift was still going. But he couldn't stay. Not while Leila was there. He couldn't be with her. She was too good for him. He'd flirted with and dated heaps of girls. But he'd always dump them the next day. He was afraid of commitment. And Leila would want a committed relationship. Because she imprinted on Kai. She wanted to be with him forever. But that was something he couldn't guarantee would happen. 

Kai grabbed a hair-tie from his wrist and tied up the top half of his hair into a bun to keep if out of his face. A cold wind blew passed. He looked up at the sky. A storm was coming. Rain started to fall and he jogged along the path. 

The rain got heavier and dripped down his face. His eyes became blurry due to the amount of water in them. Quickly he ran under cover of a store sign. Kai wiped his eyes and sighed. He wanted to phase so he could run faster but there were people around who would see.

Leila's P.O.V

The movie finished and they all got up. Leila grabbed her drink and popcorn that was still full and started walking out of the cinema. Seth walked behind her and the others followed. "Does anyone want my food?" She offered it to the others.

Jacob shot forward, "I'll take it." Leila gave him her drink and popcorn.

She smiled slightly then glanced at Edward and looked away quickly. Seth put his rubbish in the bin then they all walked out.

Seth's P.O.V

Seth dawdled slightly behind. What is wrong with Leila? He was worried. Edward put a hand on his shoulder. "I'll talk to you about it later Seth." Seth nodded, shoved his hands in his pockets then kept walking. Jacob and Renesmee got in their car and the others got in Edwards. The trip back was awkward. Leila said nothing. She just stared out the window at the rain. Seth rested his head on the door and closed his eyes.

Suddenly Leila sat up quickly and Seth looked at her. "What is it?" He asked.

"Pull over. It's Kai. He's all alone in the rain. We should give him a lift."

"He's drenched though. It'll ruin the seats." Edward pulled over and spoke to Leila. 

"No. We have to let him." Leila opened her door and walked over to him. Seth watched and saw Kai's face light up. Why couldn't Jasper be here to change her mind. Leila walked back over to the car and got in the middle seat. Kai, slightly reluctant, sat on the other side of her. He pulled the door closed. His hair and clothes dripped all over the seats.

Edward sighed, he was probably annoyed, then started driving to drop Kai of at his place.

Seth caught Leila looking at Kai on several occasions during the drive. He snapped her out of it each time but she kept looking anyway. Kai was looking out the window now.

Leila's P.O.V

Kai was looking out the window. He was so handsome. His jawline was so defined and sharp. His hair was wet but it was forming perfect, little ringlets. His nose was slightly red from being in the rain that long. His eyes were a bit red too. Was he crying before? Seth leaned over and kissed her cheek. Leila looked at him and smiled. 

They got to Kai's house. Kai was looking pretty bad Leila insisted she walk him in. He got out of the car and then she did. She put an arm around his waist,his shoulders were too high for her to reach, to support him walking to the house. Leila grabbed his keys for him from his back pocket and unlocked the door then walked him in. He collapsed on his couch. Leila wiped a few strands of wet hair from his face and smiled. She was soaked now too from walking him over.

She leaned in to kiss him but he turned his head and she kissed his cheek instead. "Sorry." He muttered.

Leila shrugged it off then walked back out, closing the front door behind her. Edward was glaring at her from the front seat and she put her head down then got in the back.

"Leila what the hell is going on?!" Seth was angry now. His body shook in fear and rage and he looked at her. His eyes pleading for answers.
