An Explanation

Seth's P.O.V

"What is happening Leila?" Seth asked her again.

She closed the car door. "Seth.. I didn't mean to." She looked down.

"What didn't you mean? Just tell me right now!" Seth was furious. Why was she being so secretive.

Edward spoke up, "Hurry up and tell him Leila or I will." Seth looked from Edward back to Leila.

Leila looked at Seth. "I imprinted Seth. And it's not on you. I imprinted on Kai." His heart dropped in his chest. He knew she couldn't help who she imprinted on but it still hurt so bad. He held back tears and his hands started to shake. "I'm sorry Seth."

Seth quickly climbed out of the car then phased and raced away as fast as he could. He had to get away from her.

Leila's P.O.V

Leila watched as Seth ran away. Her chest tightened and she felt her heart tear in two. Hurting him was the last thing she ever wanted to do. Edward said nothing and Renesmee held his hand as they started the awkward drive back to the Cullen's. Leila watched ,with tears in her eyes, as Kai's house disappeared from view. What is wrong with me?

Seth's P.O.V

Seth howled as he ran. He didn't know where he was going but he just kept running. Someone must've heard him howling because he heard another wolf running up behind him. Another two. Seth stopped running and growled slightly. He just wanted to be alone.

Seth? What happened? Jacob thought and he stood in front of Seth.

Leah stood beside him. Seth's sister.

Seth dipped his head in sadness. It was our first date. But she just told me.. she.. she imprinted on someone else! Leah stood beside him and nuzzled his shoulder.

Who? Jacob questioned.

She imprinted on Kai. Seth howled again in sorrow. Jacob growled angrily and Leah shifted her paws uncomfortably.

Why? Why him? He could've killed her! Jacob was furious. Leah growled at him to calm down. No Leah. We have to attack him. Kill him! He's ruined everything for Seth. And for Leila! He'll probably hurt her.

Leah bared her teeth. Why is violence always the answer with you guys? And it wasn't Kai who imprinted anyway. It was Leila. But I guess you do have a point. Kai has broken a lot of girls hearts. We can have a word with him. But no fighting!

I'm going home. Seth thought then started walking away from them. They didn't follow and  he was grateful.

Jacob's P.O.V

Jacob watched as Seth walked away then turned to Leah. Let's go. She nodded then they both raced to Kai's house. Leah beat him there. It wasn't meant to be a race. But she took any chance to show off her superior speed. They each hid behind trees as they phased back, took the clothes they'd tied around their ankles, and got changed. 

Once they finished changing Jacob walked to the front door of Kai's house. The rain was still bucketing down. He knocked loudly on the door. Leah stood beside him. After a little while Kai answered. He'd been crying so he looked a mess. "If you and Leila get together you better not hurt her! You've already ruined Seth for getting Leila's hopes up. She probably only imprinted because you flirted on her! Didn't you!?" Jacob yelled.

Kai looked down. "I did flirt on her yes. But I swear the last thing I want if for someone to imprint on me! I can't keep a relationship going for that long."

"Well you've got to commit because if you break Leila I will break every bone in your body!" Jacob grabbed Kai's shirt.

Leah pulled Jacob away from Kai. "Just me good to her. My brother loved her so dearly. He imprinted on her for crying out loud! But now she loves you to treat her well. Jerk." She muttered the last part.

Kai was angry now. "I don't want her to be mine! I can't do this okay! I can't be good for her." He slammed the door.
