[1st POV - You]
"That will be quite enough, Mr. Spock. You are far too close for my comfort." I exclaimed suddenly as I was freed from the mind hold before Mr. Spock could lay a hand on me. I sighed out as I quickly stood rushing to the Captain and Z'ton.

"Captain, Z'ton. Please. There is a more efficient way of dealing with this manner." I stood, wobbling only slightly due to my legs having gone numb. I leaned against a small portion of the wall near me and panted holding my head. "Please give me a moment to think. My mind is heavy."

My mother quickly rose from her seat and came to my side, "you've been released... oh my sweet child..." she sobbed but I glared at her, feeling an anger boil in my blood beyond my ability to focus and I slowly began to lose balance. My mother held me and led me to one of the larger cushions and shook my head after some time had passed and everyone has recollected themselves. "I do not understand. Why do you insist on having a woman be your savior? Do we women not have it hard enough as it is? Now you require US to watch and protect you? Do you not have women of your own on this planet?!"

There was a silence emanating from the room and Z'ton was first to speak, "we... have not searched for women. When Priestess came we assumed women would come to us." He spoke sheepishly, almost embarrassed by the statement. I rolled my eyes, resting my face on the palm of my hand.

"Is... is there a possibility of women from this planet existing? There should be. Otherwise there would be no form of reproduction or survival of this colony." I asked, but quickly stopped myself. "The Roiquoi."

"Captain, where is the location of Matthews and O'Connor, sir?" I rapidly asked, escaping the grips of my mother to face both him and Mr. Spock.

"We lost them in the forest. I haven't gotten communication from them as of yet." Captain Kirk responded. "What are you implying, Lieutenant?"

I glanced at my mother and then back at my feet, "I need my original clothes. I have a theory, Captain. I would like to test it out."

————————

My mother had taken me into one of the more private bedrooms where my uniform was folded and held. I began to change back into it when my mother began to speak to me.

"Daughter... I-.. before you go out there... there is so much I need to explain..."

The anger in my heart lended me enough strength to raise my voice against the only person I felt I respected.

"How dare you.... go on an exploration such as this...?! Do you know what damage you have caused?! What regulations you have broken?!" I could not handle all that was happening and closed my eyes to calm down.

"Mother..." the word left a distaste in my mouth, "you and father both.... are a disgrace to Starfleet Command. Once this is over.... I will personally ask Captain Kirk to detain you and take you for judgment for the actions you took on this planet. As a Starfleet Officer, I vowed to bring peace throughout the galaxy and to punish those who come in the way of my promise. You will be of no exception." I opened my eyes once more and stared at her in disapproval and disappointment.

"You will remain here until we return for you. Do not do anything foolish. It may be too late for that, though." I had never felt this much anger in my heart before, so much embarrassment of what my family had caused so far. I had to push it all aside, though, to continue the mission. Right now, the Captain's priority is to find Matthews and O'Connor alive and well. I have a theory, which is unusual to me.
