[1st POV - You]
While Mr. Spock and the Captain both conversed about the meeting, the sound of footsteps approached us. It was Nae'ei and her women. Beside her was a majestic, four-legged creature of some kind.
"We have come to discuss. A'loba approves of this." She stood proudly with a hand on her hip as behind her was an even amount of women, almost like an army that left the men speechless. Men hidden across the camp, came out to get a glimpse of the mysterious women.
I stood and smiled widely, raising my arm as she mimicked. We tapped our wrists together and stared at one another in appreciation. She looked in my eyes and suddenly her stare softened.
"I sense troubled emotions within you, my friend." She began, "is all well?"
To that, I simply smiled and nodded, "family problems. That is all, Nae'ei. Shall we begin this meeting?" I then glanced down at the creature by her legs. I smiled at it and paid my respects to it by introducing myself and my two superiors.
"This is A'loba. The great protector of Roiquoi. She tells me she predicted your landings dons ago." Nae'ei explained as she pets the large fox-like creature next to her. To which, it responded with a delighted purr-like hum.
I nodded my head, "it is an honor to meet you. I hope we can satisfy your desires for this planet."
I glanced back to the Captain and Mr. Spock. "On my planet, it is a tradition for the leader to speak on behalf. My leader is Captain Kirk, a man." I explained as we began to sit in a circle as Z'ton joined our meeting.
"A man, as a leader?" Nae'ei seemed surprised by this idea. "Really now? Are men really capable of leading great peoples?" She seemed amused by the thought.
I nodded my head and smiled a response, "well of course. It is because of him I am here to speak with you all. It is because of him we will take away the trouble from this planet."
Nae'ei nodded in understanding, "Ah yes. The woman pretending to be A'loba. It has angered us for the longest time since she arrived."
"If I may speak," the captain began getting a nod from Nae'ei to continue, "that was by the fault of those we don't agree with."
I nodded my head, "I wish to express deep apologies for the damage the woman caused. I promise, we have a plan that will fix or at least aid in the advancement of your peoples, and Z'ton's as well."
"What do we get out of partnering with these... 'Men'?" she asked.
"A future," I stated quickly, "You can make smaller versions of yourselves to carry on your legacies and carry on the importance of A'loba." I smiled even more so as I glanced at A'Loba. She sat so calmly and beautifully it was hard not to acknowledge her.
Nae'ei nodded her in approval as Z'ton watched the conversation. He was nervous as he stared at the fox before him.
"That is A'Loba?" He asked, slowly catching on to the whole conversation. With a nod, the fox creature approached him and sniffed. She made no sound as she returned back to Nae'ei's side.
The look of pink coloring on Nae'ei's face led me to believe A'loba told her some interesting news.
"It has been decided," Nae'ei stated. "We will partner with the men. For our future."
Z'ton wasn't in a position to really deny seeing how he and his men wanted the company of females. He was nervous, but with a glance from Nae'ei, he seemed to have calmed down. I smiled slightly, having known this reaction was simply one from the attraction between the two of them.
With a small smile, I stood. Nae'ei stood as well and we touched wrists once again. "It was a pleasure getting to know you, Nae'ei."
"As well for me, it was good." She replied, a wide smile on her face. "We must feast as we reached an agreement, no?" She asked innocently.
"Oh, yes. A banquet can be prepared. Perhaps you and Z'ton can prepare it together!" I suggested as the camp now was basically under no leadership. This would be perfect for unison between the two.
"Well... if the man does not mind working with a woman." Nae'ei's smile continued as she looked at Z'ton for approval. He simply nodded, "I will gather some men to go with us." He responded, preparing to leave.
There was one question I had before I could let them go, "I do have a question, though, Z'ton and Nae'ei." I began. "Why is it when I entered this planet, I became giggly and warm in the face. As well as when I was sitting, I couldn't control my own mind or thoughts. Z'ton yelled that he would free me. His exact words were, 'I can free her". Why is that?"
Z'ton stared at me and suddenly began to laugh, "Oh.. that. It was not true. I was desperate to not allow the pointy-eared one to touch you." He stated as he scratched the back of his head nervously. "I did not have your mind that way... or free you." He said before he finally left.
I found myself confused beyond belief.
What controlled me then?
"I can explain that for you, Ms. (Y/LN)" A voice echoed around us. The source? It came from A'loba.
It was at that moment a light encircled A'loba and she transformed from her animal form into a humanlike form. She was beautiful with a white dress that flowed with a transparent cape that was hooked on her shoulders. Her hair was a mixture of white with red speckles. It was a short pixie cut. She smiled gently at us all, leaving Nae'ei, her women and Z'ton's men all shocked. This was their true goddess. She stared at the Captain, her hazel eyes were angular and enhanced by a red face paint design that ran from the bottom of her left eyelid down her cheek in a triangular manner. She was elegant and slim in her body frame. She was a simple goddess, not excessively covered in jewels and was draped in her dress that enhanced her beauty.
"I am the one behind that, I am afraid." A'loba giggled gently. "It was not intended to make you uncomfortable, but I needed someone like you." She explained "I witnessed your mother enter the land and make changes, terrible ones. I had to stop her but did not know how." She looked at everyone that had gathered. "When you arrived as I expected, I had to use you for help. I didn't count on you having two friends, however, to be so strong and caring for your safety. Even though you say one is not your friend, I can see the truth."
She smiled in my direction then her gaze landed on one of the two behind me. I couldn't say for sure which one she saw, but a good guess would have been Mr. Spock. I shook my head, "Thank you, A'loba, for answering my questions."
"Oh, and dear. The emotions you were describing." She reached to me with her hand to keep me from leaving, "It is in part due to our plants here. It only affects newcomers, but the longer women stay the less of an effect it holds. With you, since I took control of your mind for a moment I managed to keep it from affecting you any further. Your reaction to the scent, though, was most entertaining." She giggled gently.
I felt a blush creep onto my face, "W-what do you mean by that, madam?" I asked her embarrassed, but she simply laughed. "You will find out in time, but for now I can explain it as you were allowing your missing self to be shown. Or should I say, the 'you' you wished to be."
With a small smile on her face and another bellowing laugh from Nae'ei my questions were answered but produced more in their place.
If that version of me is what I really wanted to be... then what exactly am I.. Who am I?
