Chapter 21

"I'll use you to kill Magnus."

"What should we do?"

"Why is she still sleeping?"

"I think I hit her hard."

I could hear strange voices speaking as I sleep, so I opened my eyes.

"Oh she's awake." A woman's face is an inch away from me. I frown.

Then the pain on my stomach erupted like a volcano. Agad na nagtungo ang kamay ko doon and never mind the woman looking at me intensely.

"Sorry if I hit you hard in the stomach," the guy that I remember abducting me in my home, punching my stomach and hitting me from behind. I deadpanned with his apologies. Yeah, as if that'll ease the pain in my stomach right now. I feel so sore.

I glared at him. "Fuck you," is all I say.

He dryly chuckled. "I like how nasty your mouth is."

"You're in our house. Don't worry, you'll never escape here," a guy that's wearing an eye glasses chipped in.

"And you'll die here if Magnus won't come and save you," the other guy said. He's got this weird eye color. And I cannot even begin to describe it. It's just weirdly alluring.

"Anong kaylangan niyo kay Magnus?" tanong ko. Money is impossible. This house looks expensive as fuck.

"His life," matamlay na got ng babae. I could feel the intensity of the air the moment she mentioned taking Magnus' life. They all looked determined.

"Why?" I asked.

"You don't need to know. You'll die anyway," she said dismissively.

Umupo ako sa kinahihigaan kong kama ang looked down. For the first time in many years, I feel scared for my life. This is how it feels like to care about your life. This is how intense the fear is when you have this strong desire to live but these people are here trying to shorten it.

"Stop looking down and look here," the guy who punched me said.

"Wow, you expect me to obey you like I'm some dog," I say sarcastically but obeyed anyway.

"You wouldn't open up. I lost my patience," dipensa niya.

"Because no one knocks on someones door at 2am and shout my name weirdly and who kidnap someone in the middle of the night? Weirdo," I snap.

"Me," sagot niya.

Instead of looking away, I kept looking at him, trying to see something. He stand there with this visible confidence, his arms crossed on his chest, his head would tilt upwards from time to time to look down on me. He's trying to intimidate me but honestly, he just look like a young person making mistake to me, trying to look cool and confident to be a badass.

Usually, if I get into trouble with my dealers for not paying the right amount, I would try and talk my way out. And it works. Usually, I don't feel fear but right now, it's surging inside of me, I feel like it's going to choke me.

" I'm Sassy. This guy with glasses is Weem and this weird guy is Paine."

Hindi ako umimik and just stare at them.

"Stop staring. It's already 3pm. You haven't ate anything yet. Aren't you hungry?" tanong ni Weem, with that, my stomach growl.

"You're hungry."

"I'm not gonna eat," I say.

"Whatever," Sassy said. Sabay silang tumayo ni Weem at nagtungo sa pinto palabas ng kwartong kinalalagyan ko while Paine, stayed, looking at me.
