"Gees, Chase, when do you sleep? What's the time?"
"Three. C'mon, we're pranking Zero,"
"What, why?"
"He's been acting too chilled around us lately and also Jackson said he could hear him speaking in his room earlier and it sounded like he was talking to a girl on the phone." He grabbed my arm and started yanking me out of bed.
"Shame, so just leave him alone."
"Why would we do that?"
He had a wicked grin on his face. We came into the corridor to find Connell, Max, Calvin, Dale and Sawyer sneaking around.
"What are you going to do?" I whispered as I walked up to Connell.
"Well, Sawyer has set Zero's clock for nine, an hour later than his schedule and has put a new alarm on his phone for his an half an hour earlier, so that when he wakes up, he'll look at his clock and think he's missed his schedule and Sawyer is going to attach a string from his door to Zero's so that when Zero gets up panicked, he can't open his door – ''
"Then Dale is going to cut the string and the door is going to fly open, hopefully, and Max is going to quickly run behind Zero while Chase pushes him so he trips over backwards. Then, I'm going to throw a bucket of sticky juice on him and Connell is going to throw feathers on him." Calvin interrupted.
"Dude! I wanted to tell her the plan!"
"I didn't realize how mean your mean streak was," I said looking at Connell.
"I was under the impression that you liked bad boys," Connell gave me a smirk. I rolled my eyes.
"Since when?" I playfully pushed him. "So, when is this happening again?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
"In four and a half hours. We're setting up now and then when our alarm goes off, at seven fifteen, we'll be waiting and ready," Chase said.
"But wait how is Sawyer going to get back into his room?"
"I'm staying in Dale's room."
"And what about your mom? We'll get more than just house arrest if she finds out,"
"But she won't...She's taking Sage to the hospital at seven for his tests," Sawyer said grinning.
"But what about now? What if he comes out?" I asked covering up a yawn.
"That's where you come in," Calvin turned to me. "We need you to watch his door for now while we go and get the supplies ready,"
"I don't want to be involved!" I said backing away but Connell put his hand on my lower back to stop me. "Why do I have to? Why not Jackson or one of the others? You have literally nine brothers to chose from,"
"Because Jackson came up with the plan and everyone else in this group is doing something,"
"This group is the original prank group, we conduct all the pranks," Chase boasted.
"Then what about the Junior and Snow Globe?"
"Where's the fun in that? You want to fit in with this family?" Chase started.
"Not real – ''
"Then you gotta help us with the pranks," he said before they all headed for the stairs.
"But what do I do if he comes out?"
"Think of something. You seem to be good at that." Max gave me a cheeky smile. The boys quietly rushed downstairs and started preparing their stuff. I slid down the wall opposite Zero's door and sat and waited.
