Today was the day of my comeback stage. I was backstage and was currently getting my eye makeup done.
Knock. Knock.
"Come in!" I shout. I couldn't see who it was so I had to ask once I hear the door open. "Who is it??"
"Your brother." I hear a familiar voice but strangely it doesn't sound like Jimin's.
"No, definitely not. Obviously you're a guy, and you're a big brother to me, but name please? I've practically got 7 big brothers." I respond.
"Mimi, it's Hoseok." My makeup artists tells me.
"Ah hi Hoseok-oppa." It's like I could hear the cringe in his face when I said that. He feels weird whenever I have to call him oppa around others but it's what I'd call him is he wasn't my boyfriend.
"Hello Kyung-Mi. You nervous? It's your first comeback. " He asks as I hear the creak of the couch in the room.
"Definitely. Where are the others?" I ask trying to make it seem like he never visits me by himself.
"Oh they're coming. They're just tryna bring something for us all to eat while we watch."
"Okay Mimi, I'm done with your makeup now let me go get your hair stylist. Okay?" She says.
"Okay. Thank you unnie." She nods and leaves the room, Hoseok and I being left to ourselves.
"Oh finally! I thought she'd never leave!" Hoseok jumps up and comes over to hug me. "It was hard for me NOT to hug you when I came in. Hearing you call me oppa doesn't help either."
"It bothers you THAT much huh?" I giggle looking up at him. He lets me go and puts his hand on my head, moving it in a petting motion.
"Since I'm your boyfriend now, it hurts my pride every single ti-"
"WHO WANTS LAMB SKEWERS!?!"
Hoseok jumps at the sudden noise coming from the doorway, pulling his hand away from me.
"I swear I don't know him." Yoongi said, walking in after Jungkook. Pretty ironic since he was second to Jungkook to reach into the bag of said food.
"That entrance was louder than a quiet elephant."
"Jin, elephants aren't very quiet."
"That's my point." Jin laughs by himself. "Hey come on give me some credit here."
"Nah I'm good." Yoongi shrugs laying down on the couch Hoseok was on. "Ugh it's like I can feel the happiness that's been here."
"Oh shush Yoongi. We all know you can smile. Jimin is probably the main one who sees it though." Hoseok smirks.
"I'd like to keep it that way."
"Oh quit being such a sour puss you grandpa." I laugh.
"I'll gladly be a grandpa if it means I don't have to do anything all day long."
My hair stylist had then entered the room.
"Hello Mimi!" She places her bag full of hair supplies down on the vanity I'm sitting at. "Seems like you have a few visitors. Continue as you were, I won't try to be disruptive."
Despite her assurance, everyone stood quiet once she walked in. I turn back around to face the mirror so she can do my hair. She begins to straighten it.
"Oh when did you get bangs?" She asks as she notices them fall out from behind my ears, where I had tucked them, and into my face.
"I've always had them. I just got lazy on keeping them trimmed after a while of being a trainee so no one ever noticed them after they got longer." I mention.
"Wait so your basically supposed to look even more like Jimin than you already do?" Hoseok asks.
"Oh obviously you haven't seen photos of us when we were younger. People thought we were twins." I chuckle. Honestly I don't see the similarity but that's probably because I've known him my whole life.
"Would you mind if I maybe trimmed them? I think you would look nice with your bangs." She insists. "I just don't want to make you look different when you don't like the change."
"Sure, I don't mind." I agree. She motions for me to lean forward so the hair doesn't get onto my clothes and next thing I know she is grabbing some scissors from her bag, holding out my bangs in front of me, and starts snipping away.
"Honestly, I think the similarity isn't going to be there since we're older now and I usually like to have my hair parted." Jimin claims, raking his hair back.
"Oh trust me, we noticed." Jungkook responds as he mocks Jimin raking his hair back. I laugh at the gesture since I agree. I feel like Jimin does that move every 5 seconds.
"Hey Kyung-Mi has a similar habit to that! She tucks her hair behind either one of her ears just as much as I rake my hair back." He says.
"Oh I do not!" I argue. I feel my bangs fall back onto my forehead as I get used to the feeling of the air not hitting my bare head.
"Jimin you liar." Jin speaks up. "She does look like you. No matter your hair style the bangs on her only help the similarity."
"Awh my baby sister is back." Jimin seems amused.
"Baby??? Excuse you sir but I am 3 years younger than you. If I'm a baby than you're a toddler. " I argue.
"Your bangs make you look younger." Namjoon says. "It makes you seem more happy and innocent but at the same time makes you look more nonchalant and conservative."
"Woah.....big words....." Taehyung says.
