Y/N finally mustered the ability to speak to him clearly, rather than broken words, "You're him. The Seeker."
The demon chuckled, tightening his grip on her - making sure it wasn't painful, however. He just didn't want her to escape his clutches. "Yes, it's me. While I do appreciate the formal title of my existence, I would much prefer you to refer to me as my mortal name. Ethan."
"Y-You..." she was back to her lost of speech, unable to comprehend exactly what was going on. "How are you here?"
"I'm quite certain that you already know the story, angel."
He was wildly beautiful, but her natural and inner instincts detected an overwhelming aura of danger and destruction. She needs to stay far, far away; she shouldn't even be conversing with him right now. "I-I just don't understand... you're going to hurt me."
Ethan shook his head, lightly pouting as he curled his fingertips underneath her arms where he held her. Just from the simple touch, he could feel her purity. He craved it, wants to bathe in its glory when he eventually tears it apart. "No angel, I won't ever hurt you. It might be my nature, but I will not harm you in any way. I promise."
"I've been made promises that went down the goddamn drain before," she muttered, then reality struck her right then and there and she let's out a horrified gasp. She looks down beneath her, towards Daniel's body still swimming in a pool of blood. "Oh my God! Oh my God! Daniel!"
She bent down and shed a few tears, and from behind her Ethan scoffed, "Please do not tell me you are crying over that pathetic excuse of a human. He deserves what he got."
"How do you know what he deserves?" Y/N sputters, frantically wiping away at her tears as she racks up ideas in her brain as to what she should do. Rose, maybe she should call Rose.
"I can see your memories very clear, angel. I can see that this man hurt you in the most vile of ways. He destroyed your every bit of happiness, abused you to his content. He was going to hurt you, Y/N. I do not understand why you are so upset over his death." Ethan frowned in distaste, at the way her relentless tears fell onto the raggedy man's clothing.
Y/N turned her head and glared at him. "You don't understand! I murdered somebody. I could go to jail."
Ah, so that's it. She's not necessarily saddened by the death of her ex, she's terrified of the consequences she thinks will follow suit. Ethan had to laugh at this, "I told you before, angel, maybe you weren't listening. You didn't kill him, I did. You are not going to jail."
She looked up at him in pure terror as he continued to describe, "The moment he pushed you into the floor, I knew I had to step in. I acted out of anger, truthfully, but I did what I had to do. I possessed your body and killed him, which is why you do not remember a single thing - possession depletes the human brain of any sort of memory. To be quite honest, I have done it a fair amount of times, and maybe you've noticed."
Y/N cowered away when Ethan took a step closer to her, falling off Daniel's body as she backed into the nearest wall. She stuttered, feeling absolutely violated and petrified, "Y-You possessed my body?"
She doesn't remember much, except the pain of something entering beneath her skin and strangling her bones.
Ethan smirked, crouching down to where she sat as he forcefully grabbed her hand, noticing the way she trembled and he thrived on it. "Oh baby, possessing you made me realized how much I missed being human."
She started to sob.
He sighed, "But I also hated it, because I felt the agonizing pain you suffered in your miserable past. I hate what he did to you, what he did to my angel. I knew sooner or later I was going to kill that man... oh, angel, look at you. You're shaking."
