"Are you a liar, brother?" Ethan continues to mock, taking a step further into the room. His eyes are dark and full of irritation, which hasn't yet dwindled down from his violent murder only less than an hour ago. "Get away from Y/N."

Grayson moves off the bed and attempts to smile sheepishly at his twin, whose expression hasn't bothered to budge. He sighs deeply, "I may have lied a little."

Ethan growls, clearly hurt by the deception of his own brother, "Why, Grayson? Can I even call you that? Are you even my brother - or just one of His angel's posing as him? Because if so, prepare to experience a gruesome death."

"I am your brother!" Grayson explained frantically, running a hand through his dark hair. "I just, you know, fibbed about my return to Earth out of fear you wouldn't welcome me."

"You're damn fucking right, prick!"

"But I'm on your side! I promise," he pleaded, daring to take a step closer to his brother. "Our Enemy resurrected my soul and sent me back to destroy you, which I certainly won't do. I just had to lie to Him in order to get here, make Him believe I was good, you know? I'm still a demon, brother. I'm a cold-hearted demon who deceived our Enemy to get to you."

Ethan narrowed his eyes, obviously not believing him. Still, he just couldn't let his brother go on a whim. "Then prove it."

"W-What?"

"The next person I deem worthy of death, his blood is on your hands," Ethan ordered, letting out a puff of air. "If you do not kill them, then I know you are against me."

"Okay," Grayson breathed out, as calmly as he could. Though, on the inside, he was freaking out. "I'll do it. If that's how I have to prove my loyalty to you, then I'll do it."

Ethan nodded. "Good. Now, get out of my room."

Grayson quickly disappears, leaving Ethan and Y/N alone together. The woman had been awkwardly watching the tense conversation unravel in the background, mentally debating with herself if she should butt in. Should she inform the demon that his twin brother told her to leave? That he most certainly is going against them, and trying to save her life?

"Angel," Ethan sighed out, crawling into bed beside her. His hands found their way to her face, resting upon her soft skin as he leaned up against her. "How are you feeling?"

An Are you okay? wouldn't suffice, because after all that has happened tonight, it was obvious that she most definitely wouldn't be okay. She literally almost died, at the hands of a drugged up prick that took Ethan too long to prevent from harming his girl.

"A little sore, but I'll live," she answered with a weak smile, gently shutting her eyes at the feeling of him fingers massaging into her skin. "What... what happened with Billy?"

He stiffened. "Do you really want to know?"

She considered it. "...Yes."

"The details too? They might make you sick, if you're one to get easily queasy," he continued to warn, reluctant to tell her what he did.

Y/N rolled her eyes. "I think it's a little too late for that, considering everything I've already seen."

Ethan sighed, deciding to be honest, "Fine, I killed him. Shocking, isn't it?"

She had to choke back a giggle and fixate her eyes back on his hands, hands that had done plenty of inhumanly things that make her question her own morals. "How did you kill him?"

"Y/N..."

"Tell me," she insisted.

"I... I tied him to a table, cut his tongue off, then his arms and legs, and ripped his heart out. Father came and destroyed his soul," he gulped, his body beginning to tremble against hers. "Which is how I discovered Grayson's lie, and his potential comprimise against us."
