"Please teach me earthbending!"

Daiki was almost taken aback, this random girl, who he'd only just met, who he frankly thought to be a bit strange, just got down on her hands a knees and begged? How was he supposed to react. "...I'm really no expert.." Kaori raised her head a bit. "You don't have to be the best! Just teach me the very basics! Please! I'll pay you! And clean your house for you!" She said. "But why me?" He said nervously. "What you did back there was so cool! Like something you see in a play! Or like...the stuff you read about in books! Like Toph Beifong!" She said eagerly. Though Daiki was flattered, that this girl had compared him to the likes of Toph Beifong, one of the most renowned earthbenders of all time, he didn't know how to respond to her query just yet. He looked around, letting out a long sigh.

"If you're that desperate. I wouldn't mind..but if you annoy me, I'll stop." He said, almost feeling bad for her. Before he could even get another word out, Kaori had wrapped her arms around his waist an hugged him, still on her knees. Daiki almost fell back, shocked. "You're not very good at expressing yourself, are you?" He said, laughing a bit at her antics. Kaori swiftly let go, as she'd ran away from her family, she felt as if, maybe, she could be herself! Be extroverted! "Not exactly." She responded, brushing herself off, and standing up, and out of pure habit, she bowed to him. "Thank you for your time." She said. Daiki laughed at her once again. "Bowing? That's fancy of you." He said, leaning on the door frame. "Oh! I guess it comes naturally now.." she muttered. "Well..I'd better go.." She said, waving. "oh...yeah..I'll meet you here around...2 ish?" He said. "See ya!" She said eagerly as she set off.

Daiki closed the door, pressing his back up against it. "Weird girl." He whispered to himself. Though he acted as if he didn't want to, he kinda looked forward to it. "Sorta like. Having a friend." He mumbled, almost feeling nostalgic. Daiki was tall, with tan skin and dark brown hair, and almond shaped green eyes. He'd only just turned 17 a few months prior. He glanced out the window one more time, before going to sleep.

Kaori walked through the forest with a spring in her step. So far, things were going pretty okay. She hadn't gotten robbed yet, she found an earthbending teacher, and yet, she had no where to stay. She'd forgotten about that since she'd been in such a good mood that day. She sulked and looked around, kicking a rock, realizing it'd be too late to go searching for an inn now, and she was exhausted, since she'd spent half the night prior twisting and turning in her bed. She sat up against a tree, rummaging through her bag for a blanket she'd brought, laying it over herself, as she used her bag as a pillow. It wasn't ideal, or half as comfortable as her bed at home, but she was so exhausted, it didn't matter. She closed her eyes, and slowly, but surely, she drifted off to sleep. "Goodnight."

"Where did she go!" She heard a voice shout, her eyes shot open, and she looked around. Unfamilar surroundings. Everything was dark. She rubbed her eyes, looking around, as she saw two figures. "Anzu?" She muttered. "Kaori? Kaori! Where did you go! You've been gone for hours!" She shouted, but she wasn't lookibg at Kaori, she was glancing around, as if she was genuinely confused. She had a worried expression, and her voice was shaky. The second, she could barely make out. "Find her! She can't have gone far!" As the figure came into focus, she realized that it was her father, Atsuo. Were they looking for her. She stood up, taking a step forward, feeling as if her heart grew heavier and heavier with each breath. She got closer to the two, who were standing opposite eachother and reached out her arm. In an instant, both looked directly at her, taken aback, she fell backwards. Only to wake up in a cold sweat. It was a dream.

She felt her heart racing, and her breath wasn't exactly steady. She looked around. It was the next day already. Though, she still felt exhausted. She rummaged through her bag for the pocket watch she'd brought. "I really slept in didn't I.." She picked it up, squinting, as her eyes hadn't focused yet, realizing she'd slept in until 1:50. "Jeepers. I'd really better get going" she muttered, wiping the drool off of her face and running her fingers through her hair, so she looked somewhat presentable. She looked around, realizing that she had no way of finding out where Daiki's cottage was, the entire forest looked the same to her the whole way though, she looked around, trying to remember what direction she walked in the night before. She walked slowly, still cautious because what'd happened the previous night. "Why did I even think this would be a good idea? I could've gotten kidnapped! Or mugged! Or worse!" She muttered to herself.
