The wind nipped at Caroline's skin as they left the big building. She was dressed in just a long sleeved sweater dress and that was literally it. That was the outfit she wore to school, and the only thing missing was her bag and shoes. She had given up on trying to get it through his head that she didn't want to be where she was; God knows she would rather be home safe. She figured trying to fight him or disobey what he asked would render useless and result in bad treatment, and that's the last thing she wanted. He towered over her and his build was much firmer than hers was, so struggling would be pointless. She hadn't come to terms with being his object for an entire year, but she didn't want to start it off bad.
God...help me..
Her fingers were still intertwined with his as they walked, and she's been squeezing it for the past minute, hoping that he'd ask why she was being a pest. Unfortunately, he didn't budge, so she gave up, a quiet sigh leaving her lips.
"Now you stop?" He chuckled, reaching into his pocket with his free hand as the neared they parking lot.
"I-I'm sorry," she said in a whisper. "I'm just... I'm cold."
"Why you don't say something?" He asked as he pressed a button on the key, unlocking his car. "I have a blanket in the car. When we go in, I give it to you."
Caroline said nothing as he stopped in front of the black Jeep, letting go of her hand. She was quick to bring it to her chest and she rubbed her hands together, praying to get some type of warmth from them. Her wrists were still sore from the restraints, so she made sure she was gentle when rubbing her hands together. He opened her side of the door and she walked closer to the car, sliding into the seat uncomfortably. Her body was still in pain from lying in that position she was in on the floor, and she was positive she'd have trouble walking good for the next few days. Once her door was shut, he walked around the front of the car, opening his door when he reached it. He slid in self-inside and he shut the door, turning his body towards Caroline.
"Ready?"
Caroline nodded and he reached into the back seats, picking up a thermal blanket lying on the floor of it. He gripped it tight as he slid it between the seats, then he opened it, spreading it over her small body.
"You can sleep," he sighed as he started the car. "It will be a long ride."
Caroline nodded and she leaned against the window, covering her body up more with the blanket. A sigh left his lips and he leaned his head against the car seat, his eyelids squeezing shut.
She was frustrating him.
Whenever he bought his other girls, they would always fight or try to run as soon as they got out of the warehouse. They would be crying and screaming and doing everything in their power to stop him from taking them, but Caroline... she was still. She didn't fight, she didn't kick, and she didn't give any attitude. Defiance was exactly what he wanted, but she just wouldn't do it.
"You don't do nothing," he spat, opening his eyes again. Caroline sat up and she looked at him, frowning.
"I don't know what you mean, sir -"
"I mean you do nothing," he snapped, glaring at her. "You don't scream, you don't fight, you don't beg me to take you home. Why?"
"Even if I did, you wouldn't let me go," she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. "There's no point in doing something that would inevitably fail."
"Hmm," he hummed, drumming his fingers on his thigh. "What about you family? Friends? They will look for you, no?"
Caroline scoffed, blinking back the burning tears that threatened to slip out of her eyes. "I don't have anyone, sir. People don't give a shit about me."
