SELENVA
Chapter one
“Ahh!! Finally!” Selenva yelled jumping for joy. She and her two best friends just graduated high school. “Its about time im on your guy's level. Shit!” She felt so relieved to not have to deal with school any longer. Selenva had only graduated two days later than Dallas and Sarah. She had gotten kicked out of their high school for talking back to the principle. Jameson High School did not take to kindly to anyone who was opinionated like Selly.
“It’s about time, it’s been two whole long days,” Dallas chuckled. Dallas has known Selenva since elementary school. She had kicked him in the leg for walking to slow in front of her. Since then they had been inseperable. It was only til freshman year they had met Sarah. She was getting thrown into a trash can, then came out yelling a number of profanities. They liked her right away.
The Three Musketeers is what they call themselves. Although, they are all three different in appearances, their personalities mesh up well. Selevna with her jet black hair that waved in every length down to her hip bones. Being 5’7", with a curvy hour glass figure and creamy light skin, Selly knew she looked like what most girls would dream. She didn’t deny that, but with her honesty and down to earth personality, Selly also knew she wasn't like them as well.
“ We have to celebrate! Any one know of any parties for Saturday ?” Sarah asked feeling giddy. She was jumping up and down with her light brown hair dancing around her face. “Of course! There is going to be one over at Brandon’s place, I'm sure he said around ten .” Dallas replied, because he knew the wrestling team, he was always informed whenever there was a party coming up. Dallas is 6’1" with muscles on every inch of his body because he was in every sport in high school. With olive tone skin and a face like a baby. His dark brown hair was long enough to reach in curls just above his eye brows.
“You would know, You always know.” Sarah sighed, with a hint of jealousy at Dallas’s popularity. She was short only 5’2, with a very average body structure. Her hair was a bob cut from hell! Sarah’s folks had insisted she got it; said it suited her face. Sarah was always one for a parties. She loved to shake her hips and get wasted. “Well, if you would have stopped staring with your mouth opened at Brandon, you’d know too!” Dallas threw in with a smirk on his face.
“Ahh. I see your just jealous that Sarah got stuck on some one other than you. Isn't that right Dallas?” Selenva threw in quick to defend Sarah. “ NO! I didn’t! Your both assholes! Besides we need to get going home; all of us, it's late guys.” Sarah wanted to make it home before her parents freaked out on her.“I’ll take you both right now! Ladies onward to my truck!” Dallas chimed.
As they headed down Main Street, Selenva was deep in her thoughts. She was hoping tomorrow night she'd be dancing, so much that she would tune out anyone not worth talking to. As they pull up in front of her house she looked over at Dallas,” Don’t drive Sarah home like a fucking psycho. You know her parents will drill into her, later guys.” She waved as the truck sped away. Slowly she turned to face her house that she has lived in her whole life. It was a middle income home with a horrible shit brown paint job. That’s the way you told her house from all the others on the block. She has lived there her whole life.
Selly entered through the front door taking three steps into the living room. Seeing her mother standing there she stopped. Edith noticed Selenva then and smiled, her smile was so brilliant it even made her golden blonde hair seem more vibrant in the lamps lighting. Edith came and grabbed Selly up into a warm embrace,“ I'm so proud of you my sweet girl.” Her mother's voice sounded so happy, She then leaned down and kissed Selly on her forehead.
Selenva never realized how much she looked like her mother, they both had the same figure. They shared the same facial structure with full lips and straight rounded nose. Although, her hair and eyes came from her father, she resembles the woman standing in front of her. As Selly thanked her mom she glanced towards the kitchen. “Anything good for dinner?” Selly asked hopefully.Just at that she heard the door behind her close. It was her father holding a cardboard box with black bolded letters that spelled out the word PIZZA. Selly’s favorite! “Perfect timing pops!” Selenva said almost drooling.
They all sat in the living room to eat. “I bet your excited to finally be done with high school and done dealing with teachers. Don’t worry though, the teachers at college are very different.” Lewis said with a mouthful of pizza. Her parents work at the Jameson Pizzeria, they met while working there. Lewis is the full time manager, and her mother is a part time manager. Selly’s parents fell in love and got married, twenty years later and they are still happy.
“I sure hope not, I’m done with school for now. Luckily for me college is still months away.” Selenva then yawned. “I’m going to crash, I'm super tired. There’s a party tomorrow over at Brandon’s house and Dallas and Sarah are going, so I won’t be home til late.” Standing up she stretched and turned around to face the hallway she yelled goodnight. After finishing up in her bathroom, Selly hopped into bed. She laid there thinking about her day, glad to be out of high school. Honestly she was glad she could have a life now without feeling trapped. No more early mornings! Yawning again she reached out and pulled her Yoda pillow close and nodded off into a deep sleep.
