       Chapter fourteen

Selenva turned over to look at her cell phone; she was getting a phone call from Aiden. I can't answer this, don't answer it, fuck I want to answer it! She thought clicking the green button. "What do you want Aiden? I can't believe your calling me! After everything you have put me through in such a short time you should not be calling me!" She screamed at him, how could he think it was okay to call her after everything?

"Selenva please would you just hear me out? Look I wanted to make sure you are doing alright is all. I miss you a lot, and I.....I wanted to know if you were seeing...” He paused inhaling. She didn’t understand the point of his phone call, so she decided to help him. "Aiden get to the point I’m not going to listen to you for much longer. So please before i hang up, tell me what ever it is!" She yelled at the cell phone wanting to through it across the room.

"Ok! You better not see Derek again; I remember what you said at the hospital!" He yelled back not even taking a second to breathe. She knew he was only beginning. How long am i going to have to deal with his jealousy? What is his deal with Derek? She knew Aiden would not tell her, but she couldn't help but think Derek might. "Listen Aiden what ever your problem is with him, it’s not mine! So you really need to give up on being so overly protective of me when you won't even tell me why you are being this way!"

"Selenva! Stop you will do what I say and you won't see him ever! I love you and I won't let that happen again! He can't have you!" Aiden yelled sounding like he was going to loose it. Her body started to shake, stomach started to feel tense, so she let him have it. "Aiden dammit stop! Just stop I will not deal with this from you! Do not call me or message me or see me for that matter ever again! I won't have you doing this to me!" She cried at him clicking the red button on her cell phone ending the call. 

She felt her stomach clenching together like there was a hole forming inside her gut. Why can't he just stop this isn't how it was supposed to be! Aiden dammit! Why? She cried to herself cupping the pillow over her face to muffle the noise. Sarah and Dallas were both passed out in his bed room just down the hall. They had stayed up watching horror movies, eating two boxes of pizza; she had fallen asleep on the couch from a full stomach. She couldn't bare it if they had to wake up to see why she was crying. They both would be so upset that Aiden even had the nerve to contact her.

Wiping her tears she sat up to look at her cell phone for the time. Great eight in the morning! Fucking Aiden! She ripped the pillow over her face trying to calm herself down. Ok so I just need to do something to get my mind off everything...What to do? She walked over to the bathroom flipping on the light switch. Shower time it is! Fuck it! Aiden had no right telling me he loves me like that! Fuck I’m so done thinking about him! So done feeling sorry for myself! I'm turning into that girl you see in the movies that you just want to slap some sense in! She ripped her clothes off and slammed the shower door.

"Hot water oh how I love you!" She said feeling it pass over her body warming every inch of her. What am I going to do about him? I should talk to him in person, maybe which will help get the message through that this can't work between us? He will only pull me into his darkness...make me his all over again. Why does he have this pull over me? Derek is so much more kind it seems...gentle even. What does Aiden have against him? She didn't know yet.

Knock!! Knock!!

"Sell! Come on woman I have to piss!" She turned the knob of the shower off.  "So go outside!" She yelled giggling wraping her towel around her. Walking to the door she opened it. Dallas doing the pee pee dance was one of her favorite sights. "Really Sell? Come on move or I’m going to piss all over you!" He laughed moving passed her smiling. Wondering if Sarah was up yet she ran down the hallway into Dallas's room. Sarah was still asleep cuddled up to one of Dallas's pillows. Hmm...Should i just shake her to wake her up or? She thought then jumped into the bed on the opposite side of Sarah. 

"Sarah! Wake up! I have to tell you something!" Selenva said into her ear giggling. Sarah moved a little yawning, stretching her arms out, and then opening her eyes. "Whoa dude! You’re so naked! What the hell is so important?" Sarah asked smiling up at her. "Aiden called me...I wasn't going to tell you. Or Dallas. I decided to tell you alone don't say anything to him though about it k?" Sarah sat up giggling. "You came in here in a towel to have a privet conversation with me about Aiden?" She was still giggling; Sarah must be still only half awake. "Yes because I need your help getting ready for my date tonight!" 

"What! You’re going on a date with Aiden! Dallas is going to kill you and him both if he finds out!" Selenva cut her off to explain, "No! No! I told Aiden not to talk or see me again. I meant with Derek!"  Sarah's eyes shot a suspicions look at her then. "I swear i am not going to see Aiden! Derek just seems like something to get my mind off him...maybe this date tonight could be a good thing for me. You wanted me to go out with him anyways why are you looking at me like that?" 

Selenva couldn't help but feel the distrust coming on, she thought; Sarah of all people would love the thought of helping her figure out what to wear for the date! The date she decided was going to happen tonight. Derek wouldn't refuse to go out with me...would he? No! "Look Sarah I want to be distracted from thinking of Aiden and I also want to know what the hell is his problem with Derek is so I am going to as Derek for more information. I don’t see why he would not tell me. Do you? He seemed so at ease with everything at the hospital....I think he could put my curiosity to rest for me." She explained looking over at the door opening.

Dallas stepped in with a huge smile, looking back and fourth between them. "You know most guys only dream of two woman naked in their beds. Looks like I don't have to share in their sorry ass imaginations. Now do I?" He asked with his smile widening. Selenva felt awkward looking down at herself naked. "At least I have a towel on!" She laughed moving off the bed passed Dallas to get clothes. As she headed back into the living room she over heard Sarah telling him she could slap him for a comment like that. Damn! Sarah gets jealous too! They really do love each other; I just hope they don't have a long session of make up sex. Selenva thought laughing pulling her jeans up.

Okay enough with the bull crap; it is time to call Derek. She pulled out her cell phone dialing his number. He picked up on the second ring catching her off guard. "Hey there Selenva, I wasn't expecting to here from you. How are you doing today?" Derek asked. She took a deep breath collecting herself before she replied.  You are not going to be expecting a lot of things on this date! "I'm doing okay...I know this is going to sound crazy but if your free tonight i was wondering if you’d like to get dinner with me?" She crocked out sounding like a dying frog. Great way to get someone to go out with you!

She heard Derek laughing on the other end. “You’re right it is crazy with me doing night shifts at the hospital right now. If you are free I would love to get lunch with you today? Maybe even go to a movie? I have to be to work by six thirty so I will be free till then. That is if you'd like to?" Derek asked sounding like a true gentlemen. How could I turn you down! She silently yelled with excitement! "I would love to! Derek that sounds really nice." She was almost at a loss for words from his sweet tone. 

"Great I'll pick you up at twelve. What's the address?" She thought he sounded a bit eager. Giving him the address to Dallas's house, she decided it was best to get off the phone with him, before trying to pull him through it. "Okay so I guess I will be seeing you soon then?" She hoped for him to show up early. "Yes." He replied while she clicked the red key off. Excitement filled her face she ran into the bedroom to tell Dallas and Sarah everything.  I have to let them know... get ready...and try not to forget the real reason I’m going on this date with him in the first place.

That is how ever not a good enough reason for me to not be excited about seeing my sexy nurse again. Information and delightful...sexy...company. She thought jumping in the hallway. It is a bit played out the whole light versus dark. Derek versus Aiden; who do I chose the guy who seems like the sun or the guy who gets in touch with darkness? I did just tell Aiden to never speak to me again. Thankfully he is not one who listens very well.  I don’t know either of them well enough to decide for sure right now. I do still want to get to the bottom of all their secrets, with or without them knowing.
