Hi all
For any of you that are confused in terms of the chapters, this book has been edited and compressed so it is slightly different.
Once again thank you for all your support I hope you enjoy!
Jade xMany people think that when you meet the person you're meant to be with, sirens go off; bells start ringing and all you see are rainbows, most of the time that isn't the case. I won't give away too much, but all I'm saying, is that when it happened to me it was just about the most inconvenient and inappropriate time possible.
"OUCH! CHICKEN! Okay, you win" I yelled as I surrendered to our fourth round of chicken that I was playing with my best friend Caitlin.
"Weak, just weak. I was going easy on you and you still lost" she mocked, laughing at me. She would do that a lot, ever since we found out - the laughing, not the mocking.
"It's not my fault I've got a low pain tolerance and your hands are as big as your face" I complained jokingly. She placed her hand near her face checking my theory.
"They aren't that big" She said trying to defend my accusation. As she began pulling her hand back to her lap I pushed it back causing her to slap herself in the face.
"Gotcha!" I said bursting into a fit of giggles. Soon I found a giant pillow being flung into my face. As I reached to grab another pillow in hopes of starting an epic pillow fight,Knock, knock sounded the door of her hospital room.
She's been in the hospital for two weeks now. At first she would just come to school for a day then stay off for the rest of the week, then repeat. Lately she hasn't been coming to school at all.
Her mom explained to my parents that she is getting weaker so she's too tired to face a whole day at school. Two weeks ago she had a really bad day. She was in a whole lot of pain, so much so that she could barely walk. They put her in here so that the doctors could keep an eye on her. I don't know why though, she has been the same every day since she got here.
The door opened just enough for her annoying twin brother, Spencer to pop his head into the room. Gosh I can't stand him.
I get that Caitlin's his sister and all but he is always coming in whenever I'm visiting and annoying the crap out of the two of us. I'm sure she feels the same but she loves him, as much as she complains about him wanting to help her in any way possible, you can see the love in her eyes and how she appreciates all that he does for her."Oh, it's you" I rolled my eyes.
As if he didn't already know.
"Well, who else would it be? You always make a point of visiting at the same time as me." I argued. "Not true, Jen-Jen" he said placing his hand on his heart, mocking hurt.
"You're quite feisty today I see, hey" he said raising his eyebrows.
"Don't call me that" I demanded annoyed.
"What? Jen- Jen? What else am I supposed to call you?" He asked acting dumb.
"If you must, call me Jenna" At this I earned a massive eye roll from his direction. What was his deal? Doesn't this dude have a life? Why he would want to hang out with us, is beyond me.
"What you guys up to?" He inquired stepping further into the room making himself comfortable on the edge of his sister's hospital bed and next to me.
"None of your business" she said, sticking out her tongue. "Yeah don't you have places to be, people to do?" I joked, shoving him slightly in the shoulder.
"Haha, very funny Jen- Jen" he said sarcastically shoving me back in the same way.
"Don't call me that" I groaned.
