"Woah guys. Aaron just give us a moment, we won't take long." I said to Aaron as I pulled Spencer by the arm.
Spencer stuck his tongue out over his shoulder at Aaron as an indication that he had won.
Mature.
"Spencer! What do you want?" I asked with hostility.
"I told you to stay away from him" he said
"What? No, you said to be careful but you didn't say why or what to be careful about. And why must I stay away from him?" I asked confused.
"Well just stay away from him, he's trouble." He said sternly.
"Even if I were to listen to you, how am I supposed to do that if we are paired for the art project?" I brought to his attention.
"Uhm, if you keep taking pictures at the hospital I can keep an eye out for you. So just no more of these after school- at night outings okay?" He said gesturing to our surroundings.
"But why? Why are you telling me to do this? What is so wrong with hanging out with him?" I asked hastily. He put his hands on my shoulders "Jen, just trust me. You don't know him like I do" He pleaded.
"Okay, I think that's enough talk. Jenna and I are leaving now." Aaron butt in as he pulled me away by my elbow. Spencer gave me a look saying what he has been saying lately- be careful.
"What was that about?" I asked Aaron.
"Uh...you tell me. I don't know. He wanted to talk to you." He said
"He told me.. never mind. I don't know what I'm talking about." I don't know what was going on in my mind but I knew that for the time being I had to trust Spencer and that certainly didn't include informing Aaron of anything that was said between Spencer and I.
Luckily Aaron didn't seem to notice anything. We walked back to his Jaguar and got in, guess we all lost our appetites for some reason.
Aaron drove me straight home. I got out I told Aaron "I had a great time, sorry about Spencer though." That's when Aaron hopped out of the car.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm walking you to your door" he said and took my hand to lead me.
"Let's try this again" he said. "I had a good time. We should do this again sometime." He continued.
"Yeah, thanks for tonight" I said as I reached for the door handle. I turned back to him to say goodnight.
And that's when he leaned in, I quickly dodged it by slightly turning my head so that the kiss landed on my cheek. "Night" I said and slipped into my house.
______________________________The next morning I got up and did my usual routine; get up, go to the bathroom, brush teeth, shower, get dressed, brush hair, go downstairs and eat breakfast. When I reached the kitchen my mom was waiting with a cup of coffee in her hand
"So...? How was last night?" She asked me.
"Okay I guess" I said nonchalantly.
"Just okay? I'm sure it was more than okay." I just gave her a look.
"Come on, spill." She continued.
"Spill what?" I asked her as if I didn't know what she was talking about.
"Oh come on, don't play dumb. You know what I'm talking about." She said to me.
"There's nothing to spill." I denied. I definitely wasn't gonna tell my mother about what happened last night. It's not even that bad, it's just that if I am so confused about the whole thing and I was actually there. Can you imagine how confused she would be? She opened her mouth as if she was about to speak but just then the doorbell rang.

Teen FictionMany people think that when you meet the person you're meant to be with, sirens go off; bells start ringing and all you see are rainbows. Most of the time that isn't the case. I won't give away too much, but all I'm saying, is that when it happened...
