Jamie just got home from work and had groceries in her arms.

She put the groceries away, put her belongings where they needed to go, took her hair out of her bun, washed her makeup off, then changed into her pajamas.

She sighed as she slumped on the couch.

"What a day," she said to herself.
"I agree," a voice responded.
Jamie immediately jumped to her feet and looked around until her hazel eyes landed on Loki's blue eyes. Before she could respond, he quickly approached her and covered her mouth. He looked around to make sure there was no one around then back at her.
"Jamie, I understand that seeing me here is quite a shock," Loki started, earning a nod from her, then he continued, "But if you promise to not overreact, I will explain why I'm here. Alright?"
She nodded again and with that, he uncovered her mouth.
"Well, how about you not give me a heart attack if you ever drop by?" Jamie suggested.
He chuckled and said, "Deal. By the way, nice pajamas."
She looked down and blushed out of embarrassment. She wrapped her arms over her body immediately.
"I didn't know I was going to have a guest over," she defended.
"Don't worry. You look ravishing no matter what the occasion," Loki told her.
Jamie blushed with a hint of a smile.
"Now, I'm glad to see you and all, but can you tell me why you're here?" she asked.
"Yes," he answered.
They sat down on the couch and he took a deep breath.
"I told Thor that I've been thinking about what I did in New York and realized how wrong I was. So he passed it along to Odin and he said that if Thor trusted in what I said, I was free to leave. But there was one stipulation: if I could find someone to live with on Midgard since Thor has to stay with the Avengers and all, I could come here," Loki explained.
"So you thought that coming here when I'm barely wearing any clothing would be the appropriate time to ask me if you could stay with me? Good timing," Jamie said with a little sarcasm.
He laughed slightly at that and responded, "I was not expecting that at all. But because you were the one to make me want to turn my life around, you immediately came to mind when Thor told me Odin's request."
Jamie smiled and placed her hand on his.
"I'm glad to help anytime. I may have started it off harsh with grilling you about the invasion though. Sorry about that," she pointed out.
"No need to apologize. It opened my eyes to what I've done," Loki assured then added with a smirk, "But this doesn't mean that I won't stop my tricks every now and then."
Jamie smirked back and responded, "I look forward to them all."
They laughed a little.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bed. If you want, you can have the guest bedroom," Jamie offered, standing up.
"That will suffice nicely," Loki responded, doing the same.
"Okay. I think my brother's clothes will fit you. He sometimes spends the night," she said as she lead him toward the hallway.
"I don't recall you mentioning a brother," he pointed out.
"But I did say that I was overshadowed by someone when you were talking about it, along with other stuff we have in common. So I thought it was obvious," Jamie said.
"I didn't catch it though," Loki remarked.
"Well, you know now," she said as they stopped at the door of the guest bedroom then told him, "This is it. I'll see you in the morning."
"Sleep well, Jamie," Loki told her, taking her right hand and kissing her knuckles.
She smiled, flattered about it.
"You too, Loki," she responded then asked, "I would assume you're not a hugger?"
"Not entirely, but I'm willing to try," he said.
Without hesitation, Jamie hugged him. Loki hesitated for a second, but eventually hugged back. When they parted, she started walking to her room, which was right next door. Before she entered, she turned back to Loki and smiled at him, which he returned.
