Loki woke up, realizing he was by himself. He saw a note on his bed and picked it up. It read:
"If I must die, I will encounter darkness as a bride, and hug it in mine arms."
- Measure for Measure, Act III, Scene I, Line 82
It only took Loki a second to realize what had happened. He immediately got out of bed and changed into his armor.
(A/N Same outfit as Chapter 10.)
He ran out of the room in a panic as he looked for Thor. Then he bumped into him.
(A/N Thor's same outfit as Chapter 18.)
"Loki? What's wrong?" Thor asked.
"Jamie's been kidnapped by Hela," Loki said.
"What? How do you know?" Thor asked.
He handed him the note and Thor looked at it. He was a little confused by it.
"It's Shakespeare. Both Jamie and I like to read his work. But she never talked about accepting death," Loki pointed out.
Thor looked at him and wondered, "But if Hela is back, then that means--"
He was interrupted by a scream. They ran toward it to Odin's and Frigga's room. They were in shock to see Frigga lying over Odin's body. So it was true; Hela was back.
"I'm going to get the Avengers. Maybe we can figure out where she is," Thor assured Loki.
Loki nodded and waited for the others to get there.
Not long after, Thor came back with the others.
"So, what's going on, Thor?" Steve asked.
"A woman has been kidnapped by Hela, the Goddess of Death. She was freed when Father died and she came after her," Thor explained.
"We'll help, but why would Hela want this woman?" Natasha asked.
"She's the one who helped me see the error of my ways. Hela haunted her dream last night, saying that she was supposed to break my heart to where I would go back to that life or she would kill me. I brought her here to get answers from Odin, but then I found out she was kidnapped this morning. Who knows what could be happening to her," Loki explained.
"Not to mention, the woman is my sister," Ethan added.
"Then we need to find her and now," Clint said.
"We need to know where she was taken though," Tony pointed out.
"I have a bad feeling I know where," Loki said.
"Where?" Bruce asked.
Loki sighed and answered, "Jotunheim."
