The next few weeks have been nothing but heaven for Loki and Jamie. He would wait for her to get off work so they could either go out to dinner or they would walk home and he would cook dinner for her, they would dance together some nights at clubs or at home, they watched Shakespearean movies every Sunday, and got to know and fall in love with each other more and more.
Jamie waited for Loki to get back from running errands as she ran in her mind of what she wanted to ask him. She knew it was a long shot, but she wanted to know.

Then she heard the door open and looked to see Loki back with a lot of grocery bags.
(A/N Loki's outfit.)
She immediately rushed to help him and got some of the bags.
"You could've called me to come and help you. I got you a cell phone and everything," she scolded gently.
"Midgardian technology is still new to me, darling," he pointed out.
"Well, I'm not expecting you to be Tony Stark," Jamie joked a little.
Loki rolled his eyes as he chuckled lightly. They put the groceries up then slumped on the couch. Jamie giggled and got closer to him.
"What's so funny?" he asked.
"Now you know how I feel when I get home from work," she answered as she sat beside him.
Loki smiled, put an arm around her, and said, "Speaking of which, I've given some thought into looking for work. I feel horrible that you're the only one working and I would like to help you."
Jamie smiled softly, kissed his cheek, and responded, "Loki, thank you for thinking about me. But you don't have to do that. Plus, if you reveal yourself to the world, it might be difficult for you to keep the job. You can't live under the disguise of Tom Hiddleston forever."
He sighed as he turned back to himself, knowing it was true. She caressed his cheek, making him look at her.
(A/N Same outfit as Chapter 8.)
"Love, I can always be myself around you, but to the world, I'm a monster," Loki replied.
"No. They just don't understand what you went through growing up. A lot of people here know what that's like, so you're really not alone," Jamie said.
He smiled and let his forehead rest against hers as he responded, "I know I'm not...as long as I'm with you."
They kissed and then Jamie remembered her question she wanted to ask him.
"Loki, can I ask you a question?" she asked.
"Yes. Anything," he answered.
Jamie breathed in and said nervously, "Since I'm part Frost Giant and I've never been to Jotunheim, do you think you could take me some time?"
Loki pondered that for a moment then told her, "I don't know if I can actually take you because Odin only allowed me to come to Midgard to my knowledge, but I can show you."
He stood up and held out his hand to her. She took it and stood up. He then made her whole apartment look like Jotunheim. She looked around in amazement.
(A/N What they see.)
"Wow. It's beautiful," she breathed.
"It may be glorious to ones who haven't been here before, but it's not a place I'd call home," he told her.
"What do you mean? I know that Odin adopted you when you were young for peace between Jotunheim and Asgard, but what else is there?" Jamie wondered.
Loki looked at her and answered, "My real father, Laufey, left me to die when Odin and he were at war. When I was told, I was enraged by what Odin had done. He saved my life that day and I never showed gratitude. I regret the invasion and may earn Earth's forgiveness, but I don't know if I can earn it from Asgard."
He made the illusion disappear and they were back in Jamie's apartment. Jamie started to cry a little at the thought of Loki being abandoned by his actual father. Loki noticed and hugged her.
"What's wrong, love?" he asked.
"Your father left you for dead. He deserves to rot in hell for what he did to you," she lightly sobbed.
He held her tight, touched at what she said. Then he thought of a place on Earth that he thought about going to when he decided to change. He made the illusion happen and got Jamie to look around. She wiped her tears away and started to smile in awe.
(A/N The illusion.)
"Loki," she said.
"I've actually thought about coming here one day. I thought it would cheer you up," he explained.
"Well, it did because I've always wanted to come here too," Jamie said then added, "And do this."
She kissed him right on the mouth, making him return it. The illusion stopped, but the kiss didn't.
