Chapter I - Introductions

You've known Rey for years. You first met her while out scavenging. You were both born on Jakku and both lived quite isolated lives. One day, her speeder broke down and you just happened to have spare parts for it. You helped her fix her it, which took a few days since one issue led to another so you offered to share your speeder with her and eventually, the two of you went out scavenging together. When her speeder was repaired, she still wanted to go out with you and from there on in, you two became friends, which quickly led to best friends, and eventually, girlfriends. There was something about Rey that enticed you. At first, she was quite standoffish and cold but she was quick to warm up to you and you to her. Life on Jakku was lonely and tough so you learned to adapt to its society. It wasn't the best way to live but it was all you knew and all you still know but being with Rey has changed your outlook on life and you are both much happier.

However, you don't feel overly happy at the moment. In fact, you feel a plethora of emotions that range from gloomy and sad to anxious and petrified. Rey, your loving girlfriend who you have been with for just over two years, has gone on a mission with the Resistance. You haven't seen her in weeks and you're worried sick. One day, you and Rey were out scavenging with your new droid companion BB-8 when Rey decided she'd take the first haul back to the market so you didn't have an overbearing load to take back. You waited for Rey to return but she didn't and when you saw a fleet of TIE Fighters and an explosion coming from the market, dread swept through you and you abandoned your scavenging and fled to the market. When you got there, the market was in near ruins and there was no sign of Rey anywhere. You asked around but people were too concerned with themselves and their loot to answer your questions. Unfortunately, that was typical of the people of Jakku.

Thankfully, Unkar Plutt had ironically been your saving grace when he told you that Rey had stolen a ship with some member of the Resistance and left Jakku. You were grateful for the information and you were relieved that Rey was okay but that didn't take away your worry and array of questions. After a few days, you received a message from Rey. She said that she was safe and then profusely apologised for leaving you. She also said that she had joined the Resistance and needed to go on a few missions before it was safe to come back and get you. Although Rey had answered all of your questions, her message only brought up new ones but you trusted that she would come back for you so you could ask her yourself and eventually, she does come back.

As soon as you see one another, you race into each other's arms and hug as if it's your last hug ever. Rey sobs as do you but you calm each other will multiple kisses and heartfelt words.

"You came back for me," you say.

"Of course. I promised you I would. I missed you so much..." She gently strokes your hair and you melt by her touch.

"I missed you so much, too."

You share another kiss before you bombard her with all of your questions, which she answers in great detail and more. You return home, which happens to be an old AT-AT from the Galactic Civil War. You and Rey moved in together a year after you met and it's been heaven ever since. Sleeping (if you can call it that) without her these past few weeks have been horrible. You grab your things (it's not much but it's what you've needed to survive) then get onto the ship Rey stole and you soon learn that it's the Millennium Falcon. Rey takes you to the Resistance base where she is so excited for you to meet her new friends. As soon as you get off the Falcon, Rey links her arm with yours and walks you around the base, showing you off, and introducing you to everyone. You can tell that she loves every bit of it, especially when she introduces you as her girlfriend, which has been something she's always done. Rey loves giving you that title and she loves calling you hers.

What makes things even better is that everyone is excited to meet you and you soon find out why and it's because they've heard a lot about you thanks to your girlfriend who has done nothing but talk about you non-stop since she got here and that doesn't surprise you at all. You eventually meet Finn and Poe who you can tell mean a lot to her and you know that Rey hopes that you will all get along well. You have no doubt that you will since they are very welcoming and warm. Rey then introduces you to Leia who immediately adores you. You never thought in your wildest dreams that you would meet Leia Organa but here you are hugging her as she welcomes you to the Resistance. She tells you to make yourself at home and hopes that you enjoy your new life but pre-warns you that they are at war so you need to prepare for a fight at any time. Rey continues to show you around the base and you can tell she is so happy to have you with her. She holds your hand the entire time, constantly kisses your cheek, and gives other forms of affection that you have missed all too much.

"I never want to leave you again," she says, nuzzling her face in your neck.

"I never want you to leave me again either."

"I won't, my love. I promise."

"Good."

You smile at her then lean forward for a kiss and with that, you know you will never be away from Rey again.
