Chapter V - Green-eyed Monster

Rey isn't easily jealous but when she is, it's pretty obvious. It usually happens when someone tries to flirt with you in front of her, which is a BIG no-no. When that happens, Rey will more often than not come up next to you (if she isn't already) and get rather touchy and affectionate with you. You don't mind when she does that because it shows that she cares and also, you love an affectionate Rey. You love it when she gets protective over you like that but sometimes it doesn't stop at touching. 

One time, Rey full-on made out with you in front of a sleazy guy who was hitting on you for him to realise that you weren't single and were very much taken. Her kiss took you by surprise but you weren't complaining. When he left, you two kissed for a little longer before you told her how hot she is when she gets jealous and protective.

If that wasn't enough, Rey has gone even further to make her point and protect you from those who think they can take you from her. One night, you were at a bar with Rey and some random guy came up behind you and grabbed your ass. You were on the verge of knocking his teeth out when Rey lost all control. She ripped his hand off of you and punched him square in the jaw, nearly breaking it and his nose. He stumbled back but Rey was still furious to the point where she used the Force to pick him up and hurl him out the front door of the bar. 

The look in her eye was frightening and you had to step in front of her and calm her down before she went outside to finish him off. It's very rare that Rey gets like that but when people touch you, all bets are off and Rey does whatever she can to protect you. You love her for it but sometimes you worry because she can lose sight of what she's doing so you are the one to stop her and usually, reaffirming kisses and hugs do the trick.

You got really mad at Finn the other day when you, him, and Poe were out on a mission and you had to blend in at a party where you got hit on multiple times by different people. To be fair, the planet was known for its populace being very... sensual, open, and fluid when it came to meeting potential partners. It was a fun mission but you didn't appreciate so many people hitting on you and Finn and Poe stepped in to help you from time to time, which you were grateful for but you weren't grateful when they thought that it was a good idea to tell Rey about it and Rey was not at all impressed. 

Just hearing about people flirting with you when she's not around makes her jealous and you can't blame her because you know that you wouldn't like it either. The thing is, it's not that Rey doesn't trust you because she does. That woman trusts you with her life and every other life in the Resistance. She just doesn't trust other people and you understand that because people are unpredictable.

Another incident of Rey's jealousy occurred when you were out on a mission and ran into one of your ex's. It was a little awkward, especially when you introduced Rey to her. Rey was friendly and nobody could have noticed that she was jealous but you could. You could see the look in Rey's eyes as she watched the woman interact with you and the tone she used when asking her questions like how long you dated her for and how you met. Rey didn't get overly jealous but you could see it. She gets stiff and standoffish when she gets jealous. Not many people can pick it up other than you but that's because you've been with Rey for years so you know how she ticks and you know what kind of mood she's in, no matter how complicated it may be, you can tell.

Rey also gets jealous when you see an old crush you used to have. It only happened once when you saved a bunch of civilians from a First Order attack and one of the civilians happened to be your very first crush. Again, Rey asked her a bunch of questions to get to know her more and you could tell that she was trying to figure out what it was about her that you liked so much. It wasn't anything special. You just thought she was cute and that was it. It was only a little crush anyway but you could tell it bothered Rey. You always tell her that there's no need to worry and thankfully, it doesn't take much to convince her and reassure her and move on.

You don't understand why Rey gets jealous since she's the amazing one. She tells you that she feels inadequate and that she feels that being in the Resistance will strain your relationship and drive you apart, especially when other people who aren't going through an identity crisis come around. You have to tell her that nothing will break you apart and that there's nothing to be jealous about. However, you don't mind the jealousy too much since it shows you how much Rey cares about you and that no matter what happens, Rey still loves you and still wants you to be hers. Another plus side to Rey being jealous is that it can lead to hot sex but not in an unhealthy way. 

Rey just gets so overwhelmed with her emotions that she doesn't know what to do with them so she takes you to bed to sort it out and it's always amazing. She always feels better afterward and you claim that time to tell her how much you love her and truly reinforce that it will always be her and it's always been her. You don't have eyes for anyone else but Rey. If anything, you feel inadequate because Rey is such an amazing person with so much potential and power that she is uncovering every day. You worry that she'll find someone better or realise that she doesn't need you and leave but she tells you that you're being ridiculous (not in a condemning way) so you don't need to fret.

Rey likes having you close whenever you two are together but she likes it more so when you go out on a date. She knows how beautiful you are, which means that people are bound to flirt with you every now and then. Even though she doesn't particularly like it, it doesn't really bother her if it happens. It's only when people are persistent that she gets annoyed and steps in, which you find really hot. 

Rey is usually in control of her emotions but when it comes to you, anything is possible. You try not to worry too much about her but you can't help it since Rey is your everything and you want to make sure that she's okay both emotionally and physically. No matter what happens though, you know that you two will always have each other's back and you know that getting jealous is a normal and healthy part of being in a relationship and you wouldn't trade it for anything else.
