Chapter IV - Dating Rey

You never thought you'd find someone like Rey. She is everything you want and NEED. You met on your home planet Jakku whilst scavenging and all it took was too many caught glances of one another for you to approach the brunette and talk to her. Even since then, you've been inseparable. You and Rey find a lot of comfort in each other. You feel a comfort that you have never felt before or thought you would since it's been lonely living on Jakku so comfort isn't something you know very well until now. Rey trusts you fully and you trust her. You bonded together extremely quickly and that's a very rare occurrence since the majority of people on Jakku keep to themselves and are all about themselves. 

Affection is another big thing that you weren't familiar with but now, you can't see yourself living without. Rey is super affectionate. She gives you so many cuddles you feel like a child's toy. Coming up behind you and wrapping her arms around your body and resting her head on your shoulder seems to be one of her favourite things to do but you don't mind. It's a nice surprise when she does that and you love any type of cuddle from Rey. She's always snuggling up to you and you don't stop her because why would you?

She tells you that she loves you multiple times a day every day because you can see just how besotted by you she is and the feeling is mutual so you always say it back. She's honestly so cute when she's in love. She is head over heels for you and you for her. It's the best feeling either of you have experienced and it only makes you want each other more, which leads to loads of kisses, cuddles, and other things. Rey kisses you whenever you can and gives you many kisses of all kinds and you reciprocate because you love kissing Rey. A kiss is something special between you two. It's something that only you two share. Nobody else can kiss Rey and nobody else can kiss you, which makes your bond with one another even stronger. 

Kissing in itself is an affirmation, which Rey is big on and you're more than happy to give it to her. You're also very happy to be intimate with her and you know that she is VERY happy to be intimate with you. Being intimate together is a very passionate time for you both and you love laying in bed talking for hours on end afterward as well as cuddling and stealing kisses from one another. Rey loves talking with you during that time or anytime really and she's such a good listener. She's attentive and always gives good advice or makes good comments.

Rey is also super protective of you. Whenever you go out on Resistance missions, Rey is always by your side and puts herself in the danger before you. Rey cares more about you than anything or anyone else. She would happily die and kill for you if she had to. Sometimes you find it a bit overbearing but you know Rey's heart is coming from a good place and you often have to tell her that you're also a Jedi and you can take care of yourself. You have so many adventures together as a couple. Some adventures are fun and instigated by your or Rey's own curiosity but other times, it's Resistance related and they can get quite dangerous but it's a bonding experience nonetheless that brings you to even closer and you both love it. 

In the midst of being in the Resistance, you still carve out time for each other and you always have so much fun together in whatever you're doing. Doing domestic activities together are one of your favourite activities to do with Rey. You feel like you're living a normal life and that there's nothing to worry about but each other. Rey loves cooking with you and concocting new recipes that more often than not fail since you're both not very talented in the cooking department but that's okay since you love mucking around together and learning new things. You still go on dates, which are always fun and relaxing. Rey makes sure you're happy with everything and always puts in one-hundred percent effort into your dates because you know she wants you to feel amazing on every date you go on.

Rey loves having you with her. She loves having you with her on dates, missions, during training, and everything else. Since she met you, Rey hates being alone and you hate it, too. You desire for each other is a mix of need and want. You can't go back to being alone and you know Rey can't either. You've come so far together and you're not going to let that slip away no matter what. Rey is so proud of you because you've come so far as both a Jedi and as yourself. She's proud of everything you do and loves watching you learn and grow. 

She'd do absolutely anything for you because she loves you so much. She's so whipped it's not funny but it also kind of is because you once casually said that you were craving a specific type of sweet and Rey went out and got it for you within hours. You act more like best friends than a couple but you think that's why your relationship is so great. You two are complete and utter goofballs with each other and Rey never fails to make you smile and laugh. She always manages a way to make you do that no matter what the situation and you know that's the type of person you want in your life forever.

You've always thought Rey to be the smarter and better one out of the two of you but Rey is always amazed that you chose her. You've had many conversations about it. She says that you could have anyone you want and that she doesn't understand why you chose someone like her - a nobody. She thinks you're so hot and sexy and feels like she doesn't hold a candle to you. She never says that to make you feel bad, not at all, she just says it when she's having a melancholy moment. 

You hate it when she speaks so poorly about herself so you make it your mission to reinforce that she ISN'T nobody and that she's the most amazing young woman you have ever met and that you love and adore her just as much as she loves and adores you. Thankfully, it doesn't take much to convince Rey that she's special. The hardest it gets is when she's not having a good day and she doubts herself so you have to give her lots of kisses and cuddles, which is the perfect tonic for everything.

What makes things even better is that Poe and Finn love you and Rey together and support your relationship wholeheartedly. They always muck around with you as if they were your big brothers and in your eyes, you don't need blood to make a family - only love and Rey feels the same way. You're all one big family and you love it. You never thought that you'd be a part of the Resistance but you are and it's the best thing that's ever happened to you and Rey. You love going on missions with Rey, Poe, and Finn because you're all like siblings. Yes, you fight every now and then just as actual siblings do but that's okay because you quickly make up and move on. 

Poe and Finn are super protective over you and Rey, not in a possessive way or anything but because they care about you and love you just like you care about them and love them. It's a beautiful thing you have with them and with Rey. You love how supportive they are about your relationship and often tease you when you're going to get married. You have thought about marrying Rey many times but you prefer to wait until the war is over so you can start the next chapter of your life happily without having to worry but that's a thought for another day.
