Chapter XIII - Bathtime

Baths are quite a luxury in the Resistance so you have them when you can. You personally prefer showers since they're more practical but every now and then a bath is nice, especially with your beautiful girlfriend Rey. Baths together don't happen very often. They are saved for special occasions such as date nights or birthdays or something like that. Rey prefers baths over showers since she likes to sit in warm water for hours and just think and relax, which is understandable. 

She's going through a lot right now so you like to give her some space even though she still wants you around her all the time. When Rey has a bath with you, she goes all out to make it special. She lights candles, puts on some music, and makes sure it has bubbles because no matter how old Rey gets, she still likes bubbles and bath bombs (mainly because it adds some fun to bath time).

Rey loves it when you sit in between her legs in the bath. She loves it when you lean back against her, resting your back against her chest. She takes that opportunity to put her arms around you and hold you close. You sit like that for a little while as your body relaxes in the warm water. More often than not, your muscles ache from the day so a nice, hot bath is the perfect ailment for your sore autonomy. Depending on your level of soreness, Rey gives you massages and because she is so strong, she gets into the knots that have been bothering you all day and even gets out knots you didn't even know are there. She truly is generous and thoughtful.

Once you're relaxed, it's time to wash and Rey is more than happy to help wash you. You return the favour, taking any opportunity to clean her perfect body. You don't mean to perve on her but you do because you can't help it and who can blame you? Your girlfriend is Rey. You're the luckiest person in the galaxy to have her by your side and be able to do things like this with her. You wash Rey's body before she moves onto your hair. She scrubs it expertly and you reciprocate. You love it when Rey cleans you. It's such a satisfying feeling. You're being looked after as if you were a baby and it's nice. In the midst of all this fighting with the First Order, it's nice to take your mind off it all and do something like this.

The two of you can't control your childish nature when you start splashing around and being playful. Rey loves making sculptures with the bubbles and putting beards on her face as well as yours. You both look like idiots but you don't care. It's just the two of you and it's so fun and relaxing. You need to take time out to do this or you are positive that you'd go insane. You love it when Rey gets playful like this and you forget that there's a war going on. 

It's times like these where it's just you and Rey and you believe that it's just the two of you in the entire universe. You think yourself selfish for having such thoughts but when you stop and think about it, you deduce it's not entirely selfish given yours and Rey's circumstances. You went from a quiet life to a hectic one within hours and you know you will never be the same but you're doing something for the greater good so not all is bad. As people say, you deserve to take some time out for yourself.

After or during playing, you and Rey share some soft kisses, which is always bound to happen when you do things like this. Plus, you're naked so that doesn't help either of you in regards to your libido. Your kisses harden and it can even lead to some sex but if that happens, you get out the bath and take it to bed because neither of you want to get hurt or for the other to get hurt. You learned that the hard way once and you don't intend to have a repeat.
