Chapter III - Date Night

You love date nights with Rey. They're so fun and they reinforce just how much you love her and how much she loves you. Rey loves taking you out on dates and making you feel special is her favourite thing. She wants you to feel adored because she adores you beyond your knowledge. She wants to make you feel appreciated and most importantly, LOVED. Rey is the most thoughtful person you know. She themes special dates after your favourite films or TV shows and you love it. Casual dates are usually picnics, going to the museum, riding bikes together, and other things like that. You don't mind what you do as long as you're with her. You're happy when you're together and you know she feels the same way. 

However, tonight is different. Tonight, Rey is taking you to a fancy restaurant that requires a reservation to be made weeks in advance. You and Rey have to dress up so you opt for a slim black dress with matching heels. You curl your hair so it falls over your shoulders in loose waves then apply a decent amount of makeup to your face. It's not too much but it's enough to make your eyes and lips pop and you know Rey will love it.

Rey is in a red dress and she looks so beautiful. She has styled your hair similar to yours and her red lipstick pairs with her dress perfectly. You get to the restaurant, which you're immediately taken aback by its brilliance, and read over the menu on your table but you keep catching Rey staring at you because she can't stop. She can't stop staring at you on a regular day but you feel like tonight is different because she hasn't torn her eyes away from you the entire night. You ask her why she keeps looking at you and she simply says that she can't take her eyes off of perfection. You flush but thankfully, your makeup hides it but Rey knows you enough to know that you're blushing so it doesn't matter.

Your dinner and drinks eventually come and you have an amazing time with your amazing girlfriend who has paid for the evening. You tried to convince her not to since the price of your dinner was ridiculously expensive but Rey kept telling you that she didn't mind and that she wanted you to have a nice night. You were reluctant to agree but you knew that Rey wasn't going to budge so you let her pay with the agreement that you'd pay the next time. Rey was then hesitant but you chose not to focus on that.

After dinner and drinks, you both were a little giddy. You giggle a lot (you always giggle a lot with each other but the alcohol in your system brought it up a notch) without a care in the world, loving each other's company and putting the world to rights with your stories. You eventually leave the restaurant and take a walk through the city together with your fingers laced as Rey hugs your arm and gives your cheek pecks every now and then. At the end of the block, there's a man playing the violin and that's when Rey pulls you into your arms and begins to dance with you. You're not much of a dancer but you've had a bit to drink and you can't say no to Rey, especially when she's treated you to such a nice night.

You can't stop smiling during your dance and you smile goofily when Rey concludes the dance with a quick kiss on your nose as she smiles at you, which is followed by a sweet giggle before snuggling into you.

"You're so beautiful," she whispers in your ear then kisses your neck tenderly. "I can't wait to get you back home."

And just like that, you take Rey's hand and hurry back to your shared apartment that you call home. You two waste no time in removing your clothes and getting down to business. You two don't overly have a lot of sex since you don't need it to feel close to one another but when you do, it's perfect and fun because having sex with Rey is the best thing in the universe. She is caring, patient, and attends to your every need as you do for hers. It's equal and you know that Rey only cares about your wellbeing during that special and sacred time.

When you're done, you look at each other and giggle because you're both so stupidly in love with each other you giggle at everything you do like children. You then decide to have a joint shower, which probably isn't the best idea in regards to saving water because you certainly don't save water when you shower together but this time it's not so bad since you're both tired. You dry yourself and put on your pyjamas as does Rey. You then snuggle up in bed, immediately taking each other's warmth. You grab your laptop and open Netflix. You get Rey to chose what to watch and she picks some space opera film of which you both end up enjoying. Rey snuggles into your side and when the movie is over, you call it a night and pull Rey into your arms when you lie down. You kiss her softly and whisper how thankful you are for date night and how much you love her.

"Anything for you, my love." Rey kisses you and buries her face in your chest.

You kiss her head and close your eyes and within minutes, you're asleep.
