Keenan came back home that night to an empty and dark house.
Confused, he turned on the lights of the living room while untying his tie and unbuttoning his dress shirt.
He threw them both onto the couch before walking over to their bedroom where he presumed Rose was sleeping, however, when he went inside, he found the bed empty.
Suspicious, he instantly rushed over to Finnigan's bedroom and slammed the door open before noticing his bed was empty too.
"Motherfucker," he cursed under his breath.
Keenan immediately ran towards his office and turned on his computer. On it, he went over the security footage that showed Rose leaving the house with Finnigan while two large backpacks.
He scowled and suddenly threw the keyboard onto the floor and punched the computer screen where it had cracked, almost severing through the whole way.
Huffing, he stood at his home office breathing heavily. His hands on the edge of his desk helped to push his weight from falling to the ground.
"I can't believe she had the nerve," he growled under his breath.
Standing there for several seconds, his mind suddenly blanked and he whipped his head toward his phone.
His feet started to run over to it as he grabbed it and opened an app he thought he would never have to use.
On the screen it displayed a digital map and a certain red dot signalling it's location.
Squinting at it with fury, he smirked before running towards the door and grabbing his keys.
His car manoeuvered through the highways, overtaking and passing by other cars. Strings of lights rushed by his window, his eyes only focused on the red dot beeping on his phone.
'15 minutes away...' he thought.
He gripped tightly onto his steering wheel impatiently.
As he got closer to the location, he realised he was now in a modest suburban neighbourhood, which was definitely was not as high-end as it looked in his neighbourhood.
He scoffed while driving by and glanced around at each house with a look of disapproval.
Staring at the red dot, now a few metres from him, he tensed and eyed around at each house until the red dot was now right in front of him.
Pausing, he looked up from where he was parked in front of a classic American-style house, that he already knew wasn't as nice as his. Was she really in this dump?
Within his car, he stared out his window and watched the orange glow of the windows illuminate through the curtains.
He kept staring until he eventually saw a silhouette through the windows. The figure of a woman showed through the artificial light and even though he physically couldn't see her, he immediately recognised it as Rose.
Clenching his fists, the ends of his hair started to stand up and his mind began to feel a rush of adrenaline.
He was about to open the car door and run over to her when he suddenly saw another figure walk past, more specifically the figure of a man.
Staring with confusion, he paused and kept looking at them. They seemed to be having a deep conversation about something, something that made them unnaturally close.
Soon enough, another figure popped up. It a was several heads smaller than the two, as he could only make out the small head of the child that could just be seen from the restriction of the rectangular window.
