They were back at Ryan's house the next morning where Rose was making breakfast for them in the kitchen while Ryan was already out for work.

"Why did we leave daddy again?" Finnigan asked confused.

Rose gritted her teeth. She stayed silent and refused to answer his question.

"He said we are gonna live together again," he muttered.

Rose flinched but tried to keep herself from giving in.

"Don't you wanna live with Mr Ryan? He's really nice isn't he?" Rose said with a smile.

"But daddy's nice too," Finn retorted.

Rose inwardly felt annoyed and sighed under her breath. Where exactly was this 'nice' her son was talking about? She's certainly never seen it.

"Daddy even bought me lots of new toys," he began to say.

Rose lifted an eyebrow surprised.

"He did?" she asked in shock.

It was the first time Keenan even tried to spoil their son. To her, it seemed inconsistent and unbelievable. Knowing him, he probably had ulterior motives behind it. There was no way he was sincere with the gifts.

"Ryan gives you lots of things too," Rose tried to say.

"But he's not daddy," Finn mumbled.

Rose felt an ache in her heart. She knew it wasn't fair on Finn to not know anything but she couldn't just leave her precious son with that bastard. Who knows what he could do?

"Anyways, why don't we go out to the park today?" she suggested, trying to lighten up the mood.

Finn immediately perked up at the suggestion and grinned.

"Can we go on the swings?" he asked excitedly.

Rose chuckled, "Of course. I'm not as good of a pusher than Ryan is but I can still push you quite high."

Finn shook his head.

"Don't worry mommy. I can swing by myself. You can swing next to me," he suggested.

Rose smiled at him before walking over with a pan full of sizzling bacon that had been cooking on the stove.

"Then I will," she replied.

When they finished their breakfast, Rose immediately got their coats and shoes and grabbed Ryan's spare key of the front door.

Just as they exited, she surprisingly found Keenan standing on the porch, looking towards the driveway.

She froze quietly while Finnigan immediately let go of her hand and ran over to him.

"Daddy!" he yelled, jumping onto his leg.

Keenan turned around and looked over at Finn before patting his head lightly.

"Hi, Finnigan," he said gently before eyeing her with a small glint. "And a hello to you as well."

Rose felt her arms tingle with goosebumps as they ran across her arm. His words made her feel a touch disgusted.

"Are you coming to the park with us?" their son asked with large doe-like eyes.

Keenan chuckled.

"Why not?" he replied.

Finn brightened and grabbed his dad's hand before dragging him onto the pathway.
