For the next week, nothing exciting happened. Prople came and gone, I sang every night at dinner. Always the same four songs becasue they enjoyed them over and over agian. They never wanted anything new, but I was alright with that.

Raymond never stopped asking questions when we went for walks everyday. We always went to a different place to take our walks, but I hardly ever saw the outside. After dinner I would go play with the children until they went to bed then I would go to bed.

I never liked any of my days, nothing was ever kept the same. Everything always changed from day-to-day. I hated not knowing how every day was going to go. The only thing that stayed the same was the walks with Raymond, the children at night, and the singing at dinner. Those were the only things I could count on.

Not once did I see any signs of any dragons, thank god.

On the eighth day after my arrival I woke up later than usual. Raymond wasn't there to wake me up like he usually was and I was a little worried. He wasn't allowed to leave me alone unless I was sleeping, so where did he go?

I got dressed into a pair of light jeans and a loose flannel top then put on my boots that I've been wearing a lot lately then looked out the door of my cave room. There was no one in the hallway on either sides and I was a little confused, usually there are people all over this time of day.

I went back to my room and cleaned up my stuff a little bit, put some things into different piles in my suitcase - clean or dirty - just to pass the time. I must have reorganized everything four times before my stomach started to growl so loudly that I couldn't ignore it anymore. So I left the room and slwoly walked through the hallways until I found the left-overs from breakfast which I had missed. Only problem was there was all of breakfast still laid out and not a person in sight.

Did they just not eat this morning? Was everyone out today? I don't understand where everyone could just run off to. I grabbed a couple things to eat then went to wonder over to the childrens room. They were all in there keeping quiet in a corner with a couple of the older girls looking after them.

"Where is everyone?" I asked as I finished the bread I was eating.

One of the girl 'sh'ed me and ran over, "we are supposed to keep quiet. The kings army has arrived and they are attacking. Why are you wondering around?"

I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. "We're under attack?"

She nodded her head and dragged me over to the corner with the children and sat me down. I felt like a child because of the way she was pulling me around like I had done something bad. No one told me anything! I haven't seen a person all morning! Its not like I know anyways. I'm not used to this kind of stuff.

We must have sat for an hour until someone came running into the room. They sighed with relief when they saw me, "Clea!"

I stood up quickly and looked a little horrfied at Raymond. "What happened to you?"

He shook his head, "come with me and hurry!"

I ran after him as he ran through the caves. We ended up in a room that I wasn't allowed back in since I came here and I was out of breath as he handed me a sword. I couldn't ask what it was for so I looked at him confused.

"They're comign for her. We have to defend her with our lives." He said and I looked back at his dead cousin laying on the table in the middle of the room. She had a sheet over her and was the oly woman I've seen here who is wearing pants other than me.

"Why would you give me a sword, I don't know how to use this thing!" I tried to give it back to him but he shoved it back in my direction.

"You need a weapon and this is the only thing we've got thats light enough for you to carry."
