Chapter 2: The Sandman's Identity

"Exactly who I am?" I shout out.  "I know exactly who I am, I'm Kiruh Black, the only Sand user in the history of history (I think), i'm the most unique one of them all!  Gosh, you are just wasting time Sahve, I-" 

"Shut up and listen!" Sahve yells out in anger.  I quickly quiet myself and sit down on the soft grass.  "You have no idea who you are... you don't know your past, you don't even know your father.  You just know the basics of common sense.  Yet you know nothing of yourself.  Why in the world would you think that you are just simply 'Kiruh Black?'"  Sahve says.  I start to look at the grass at Sahve's feet.  The grass is swaying to the left because of Sahve's wind.  "Then... who exactly... am I?"  I ask.

 "Reincarnation of the Sandman" Sahve says in a serious tone.

"Sandman...?  Who is that?" I ask.

"The Sandman is a man who existed around sixteen years ago.  He was a captain ranked Elemental user.  Though he had potential to be so much more.  The Sandman was a normal Captain in the Elemental military, and no one had thought that anything was strange about him.  He was only hiding his true abilities.  In reality, he had his own secret organization behind the academy's back.  He called it... 'Project Delnine.'  Project Delnine actually had hundreds of members at it's disposal; all of them traitorous Elemental users.  Every single last member were either Sergeant major ranked, or higher.  Anyways, Project Delnine's only goal was this: Eliminate the Elemental academy from exsistance.  Project Delnine wanted all whom would stand in their way out of the picture.  If they could eliminate the Elemental Academy, and then take over, imagine the possibilities they could have done.  Eventually the academy finds out about this.  The leading General of the academy had sent but one single man to a mission.  His mission was to eliminate the Sandman, at all costs.  This man as we know it, was your father."

My eyes widen, and I look up at Sahve, who still has a serious look on this face.  He then continues.

"Your father had made a plan, into meeting the Sandman alone.  Not much is known about this day, but what I do know is, your father had a very tough time fighting against the Sandman.  He had to resort to his most powerful technique.  The only things our records say about this technique, is that is created you.  Sorry, if that isn't enough information for you."

"What... you mean... i'm a reincarnation of an all powerful evil master?"

Sahve gets an even more serious look on his face and starts to get in a battle pose.

"As if... I will ever do something like that!"  Sahve's face calms down a bit as he releases his battle pose.  "Me, as Kiruh Black, would never even dream of taking over this place with evil!  I may be a reincarnation of this guy, but the heart that has belonged to him, is now mine!  I... I am a man of justice!" I scream out.  Suiyomi looks over in my direction with a smirk on his face.  Sahve starts to smile.  "Kiruh, you will make a fine General one day!" Sahve says. 

"General?  You're giving me too much credit Sahve!"  I say, with a chuckle.  Suiyomi then walks up next to us and says, "Sahve, I do believe our training session is over with today."  Sahve then looks at his holo-watch and says "Crap!  I totally forgot the time!  Alright kids, go on home and make sure you here tommorow at 6 a.m!"

"Six a.m!?"  I yell out.  "Man, i've never woken up that early!" 

Sahve disappears with a gust of wind.  I get a disoriented look on my face.  Suiyomi then walks past me and waves his hand in the air.  "Well, i'm going home.  See ya tommorow, loser."  Suiyomi says.

"Yeah, whatever human fountain"  I reply.  I then walk through the academy to the exit, and walk my way home.

After finally arriving home, I walk into the living room where I see my mother watching 'When Love Conquers All' on the holo-tv.  

"Watching this terrible show again mother?"  I say while walking up to her with a smile on my face.

"Of course, ya lil' bastard"  my mother replies with a smile on her face as well.

My mother's real name is Briaunna Black, formerly known as Briaunna White.  A lot of irony in that name.  She normally wears simple blue pants, with a light blue tank-top and a small unzipped purple jacket.  On her feet are some yellow Sandals.  She has messy black hair that goes down to her upper back.  Part of her hair is tied up, around the right side of her scalp.  She has teal colored eyes.  My mother is pretty hot for her age, 34!

"So how was your first big day at the Elemental Academy kid?" Briaunna asks.

"It was really exciting!  I met a few... douchebags... but I also met some really cool people!" I answer.  Briaunna smiles at me and gives me a thumbs up.  She then says "Alright, tonight we are mixing it up, we are gonna have super dinner tonight!  This time we'll see who can eat these twenty pound meals of your favorite, cold shrimp, faster!  Me and you!"  I get worried look on my face.  "Another one of your competitions mother?  I still feel a little weak from the last one... I don't even want to think about the last one... " 

"Whimpin' out on me already are you, ya big whimp!?  Alright then, i'll eat both meals, all fourty pounds, by myself!"

I grin at my mother's determined face.  "Alright mother... i'll join in on this one.  But only because it's my favorite meal!"  We both sit down at the table, where the two plates of the hugely stacked shrimp are placed.

"1... 2... 3... GO!!!"  Briaunna shouts.

Later that evening I walk up to my room and throw myself in the bed.  "Man, I can never beat my mother in these competitions... where does she find all the room for that food... better yet... how does she even throw off all the weight she gains through these things?"  I think to myself.  I close my eyes and drift off into sleep.  

"Man, that kid is still talkin' crap about me... i'll be sure he dies someday.  I wonder how Sahve's doin' these days anyway.  Maybe you should give me updates... Kiruh."

I feel like I am floating.  I cannot move in any direction.  I am stuck in the air.  Drifting.  I am lost.

"Don't worry kid.  This is just a dream.  Though it's pretty weird.  To think you'd ever come to me in your dreams"  The voice says.

"Who... is that?" I ask in a tired tone.

"Boy you are truly naive.  You don't know who I am?  It's your old pal... The Sandman."

My eyes widen.  "I am speaking... to the Sandman!?"  I think to myself.

"Careful kid... I can hear your every thought in this little world.  Be careful what you say around me"  The Sandman says, in the shadows.  "This world has truly come to crap, without my Project Delnine.  Kiruh... I have a favor to ask you."  The Sandman says, in a menacing tone.
