I awoke feeling the warm sensation of the sun peering into my bedroom. I slowly sat up and glared at the window realizing I forgot to close the curtains last night. I groaned and soon after felt stupid for glaring at an inanimate object.

Stretching my arms and rising from bed, I trudged towards the bathroom. I looked into the mirror and saw a monster. My (H/C) hair was knotted and poked out in every direction. I widened my eyes and poked my cheek. "Oh, it's only my reflection,"

I never put on any makeup since I decided natural beauty is perfect, even if I look like a naked mole rat. I grabbed my uniform and grabbed my book bag. I brought the uniform forward and inspected the wrinkles. Eh, it'll do. I changed into it and ran downstairs now searching for my dad.

He's the symbol of peace and was mostly helping others. But he was always busy protecting us from evil. Though he was working, he always tried to find some father daughter time in the day. I popped my head into the kitchen and to behold the very man I was looking for.

"Hey dad, why are you in the kitchen?
I thought you sucked at cooking?" I asked. I walked towards him and rested my arm on his shoulder. "Well (Y/N), I decided to make you breakfast because of our anniversary," he answered.

Thinking over the words that was previously said I remembered that today was my adoption day. I facepalmed and shamefully stared at the ground. My dad realized I was now in a glum mood and hugged me. His skinny body making me feel better. Since I knew he was not afraid to be vulnerable with me.

"(Y/N), are you on your period again?" He said calmly. I bursted into laughter, confusion shown on his features. "No, it's just I forgot today was our family anniversary," I laughed. Trailing off near the end, I stayed silent. A couple seconds later I heard booming laughter.

"It's alright (Y/N), I too almost forgot today was our family anniversary," he said reassuring me. He placed the breakfast on a plate and turned around. The clock ticking had shown that I already behind. I waved my hands and quickly slipped on my shoes.

"I'm already late for school!" I said distressed. He placed his hands on his hips and shook his head. "I'll be back early, bye!" I shouted and blew him a kiss. He grabbed it and threw it in the sink and turned on the disposal. I scrunched up my nose and exited the house. Well SOMEONES sour.

The cool morning air making me shiver as I hop down the steps. My feet now making contact with the pavement. I took my time and stopped to look at a group of lady bugs. "Hello, bugs," I whispered. I then felt like I had forgotten something. Is it a birth day?

I quickly stood up and ran forward. The air pushing my hair out of my face. I noticed a familiar figure and quickened my pace. "Wait!" I yelled. I rushed up to him and gave him a big hug. "I'm so sorry, Izuku!" I pleaded. He wrapped his arms around me and hesitated to pat me.

"S-sorry for what?" He squeaked. I looked up at him and furrow my brows. "For being late, I bet you waited nearly an hour for me!" He looked away and scratched his cheek. "Well, yeah," he stopped and looked at me. My face sinking into a glum expression "But, it's alright!" He said reassuringly.

I released my hug and smiled. He returned my smile and showed his pearly teeth. Thank you for making my day better Izuku, like always.

"Anyways, I feel like I'm forgetting something," I grabbed my sweater and stuffed it into my bag. "I mean the only special occasion today is the last day of school" I stopped in my tracks and felt a wave of happiness take over. Finally, leaving middle school and entering high school. My day feeling brighter as the birds chirped. Izuku yelled and I noticed how far he was.
