After a shower and fresh clothes, Bonnie and I sat on my bedroom floor in front of the fire place sorting my clothes.

"The Winter is usually a month long. They think it's gonna be longer this year, but who knows. We've got two boxes, one for shorts and one for pants. How's that sound?" Bonnie had already started folding my clothes into separate piles.

However, I had more than just shirts and pants to pack. "What about my panties and skins? Or my socks and books? This isn't enough space."

My lips pushed out in a pout knowing that I wouldn't be able to bring it all. I'd have to make a few sacrifices.

"Okay, lets reroute then. I'll pack outfits, socks and books and you pack 'erything else. Sound good?" Her eyebrows raised in question.

"Yeah sure."

With a short clap of her hands, she smiled enthusiastically. "Great!"

I pulled my favorite shirts and sweaters from the drawers to put in the box. Then I grabbed a few workout tights that went in the box as well.

My box was already too full, but I didn't trust Bonnie to pack the right books for me so I decided to call her off the task, "Bon Bon?"

"Dats me." She spoke, but her attention stayed focused on the task at hand.

"I'm going to pack the books so you don't have to do that anymore."

"Okay." Was her mumbled response.

"Oh! And please make sure you pack a lot of socks, my feet are always cold. Fuzzy socks preferably." I added.

"Mhm. Socks."

Satisfied, I eliminated a few sweaters that weren't as important so hopefully we did laundry often enough. That freed up enough space for three books of my choice.

I couldn't help but grin at my quick decision making. I usually took hours to make a choice.

It would have been smart to check Bonnie's box before we taped them shut, but we were already behind schedule. The sun already sinking lower in the sky had cast an opaque glow through the thickening snowfall.

We met the males in the common area that was now brisk from the frequent in and out trips they made.

Their skin was red from the constant shift back and forth, but you could barely glimpse the flushed tones under Lyle's ink. Both somehow still had their loincloths on—I know I would have frozen my ass off if I was still wearing skins.

Lyle was a large male, mated to Grace if my memory serves me right. He was tall, almost as tall as Luciano. They were similar in build, bulky muscles on each limb and washboard abs.

He nodded his head in acknowledgment and bared his neck briefly. The small smile I offered seemed inadequate to his unveiled respect. His brown mousy hair was tousled like he just rolled out of bed. I could tell that was due to them shifting as well.

Bonnie took it upon herself to speak first. "We's got our two boxes filled, Alpha. Do yous need any help with the equipment?"

"No, this is our last load and it's already on the sled. Why don't we head there together?" Lyle's deep voice projected across the room easily.

No one spoke and instead nodded their heads. When Luciano gripped the door handle, I braced for the cold. Still, I wasn't prepared for the powerful, ice cold whoosh of air that knocked me backwards a few steps.

After I caught my balance, I squinted my eyes at the doorway. Conditions had increasingly gotten worse during the few hours we were inside.

I couldn't see more than five feet in front of me and I struggled to hold myself upright against the wind. Bonnie was already shifted and disappeared into the white abyss, yipping her joy.
