{Colby's POV}I ran down the stairs as soon as I heard the doorbell ring out into the silent house. I was home along for the weekend, and I couldn't be more happy that sam had agreed to come round. He wasn't allowed to the stay the night, his mother still wanting him home by 8 o'clock. I opened the door, and was met with the cheery face of the blonde haired boy. He walked into the house, a smile playing on his lips. I shut the door behind him, hearing the clunk of Sam taking his shoes of and dropping them onto the wooden floor. He then turned to face me, his eyes were wide and shining with admiration. Suddenly, he leaned up and pressed his lips to mine. I was shocked, but soon kissed him back fondly. He was the first to pull away, looking up at me nervously. "Sorry, I wanted to," he whispered. I rolled my eyes jokingly, pecking his forehead and grabbing his hand to tug him towards the kitchen.
"So, we have 2 hours till you gotta be home right?" I asked, and Sam nodded.
"So, I thought, we could order pizza and watch a movie. Your choice," I smiled.
"Yes please," he grinned, leaning against me as I pulled him into a hug. I didn't know what the matter with me was. I wanted Sam and I wanted to be close to him. However, he didn't seem to mind as he nuzzled his cheek against my shoulder fondly. I slowly pushed him off me so I could grab my phone to call for pizza.
"What pizza do you like?" I asked, dialing the number and holding the phone to my ear.
"Just plain," he answered.
"Boringgggg," I teased, to which he rolled his eyes. I ended up ordering one pizza, half plain and half pepperoni. It's something I often did with Gage. For siblings we have very different preferences in pizza. Whilst we waited for the pizza guy, me and Sam flicked through Netflix trying to find a good movie. We settled on 'happy death day' and just before we pressed play the doorbell rang. I went and payed for the food and came back to Sam. He was already snuggled under a blanket, his finger hovering over the play button on the remote control. I grabbed some ketchup and sat down next to him. He pressed play, I opened the pizza box and we dug in. I gently stretched one arm out so I could hold Sam closer to me, the blonde boy getting the hint and tucking himself into my chest. I sighed happily, shoving pizza into my mouth and watching the movie unfold in front of us. About an hour in, the pizza was gone, and so was Sam. Well, not gone gone, just asleep. I'd seen his eyes dropping not long ago, and I decided to let him sleep. It was 6:30 we still had half an hour until he had to leave. My eyes traveled from the clock down to the blonde tuft of hair resting on my chest. He was so peaceful when he slept, I couldn't help but reach out with my hand and run the tips of my fingers across his cheekbone. His nose crinkled up and he snuggled into me more, making my lips curl up into a smile. God, he was so precious.I woke up to somebody shifting next to me, the pressure on my chest pulling me from my deep sleep. I screwed my eyes together, reluctantly opening them when it happened again. Oh. It was dark. It was pitch black. Did I fall asleep? But my biggest concern was the blonde head that was still resting on my chest. God, Sam's mum was going to kill him. My eyes drifted to the clock on the wall, eyes widening when i read the time. 1am. I sighed, shaking Sam. I knew he was gonna want to go home, so i was gonna have to walk him back. "Sam, wake up," I yawned. Sam groaned, shifting on my chest even more.
"Sam, we fell asleep," i muttered, yanking the blanket of us gently and putting it to the side. And just like that, Sam was wide awake. He shot up, the quickness of the movement startling me.
"Oh my god," he breathed. He looked at the clock, eyes widening.
"No, no, no, no!" He muttered, his hands grabbing at his phone. He had a bazillion calls from his mum and dad, but I could see his phone was on silent.
"Sam, it's fine I can walk you home," I decided, standing up.
"No! No Colby you don't understand!" Sam cried, tears forming in his eyes.
"They're going to find me! Colby you can't let them g-get me!" Sam sobbed, his hands flying up to cover his face. I shot towards him, hands grasping at the blondes trembling shoulders and pulling him into my chest.
"Sam, Sam shhhhh, it's alright. Nice deep breaths it's going to be fine," I soothed, running my hand up and down Sam's back. Sam shook his head vigorously.
"I - I need to go to the waterfall," Sam cried, pulling out of my embrace.
"What? Sam slow down!" I tried, but it's like he couldn't hear me.
"No we have to go NOW!" Sam screamed.
"SAM!" I shouted, trying to get my voice to reach his ears but nothing was working.
"Please colby we have to go!" Sam tried, tugging at my hand.
"Sam; please sit down. Just for two seconds," I begged, but Sam wasn't having any of it. He was making his way to the front door, tugging on his shoes.
"Sam, wait," I tried, standing in front of the door, blocking his exit.
"Move, please Colby," he pleaded, teary eyes overflowing and cascading down his cheeks.
"Sam..." I sighed, my hand coming up to wipe them away.
"You don't understand, but please just come with me," Sam tried again.
"Sam, please just tell me what's going on,"
I pleaded.
Sam paused, hands coming up to wipe his eyes.
"I'm not an ordinary boy, Colby."Sorry for the wait 🥺
