Lower Elements Labs
So much for Armageddon, the creature thought. It went from Armageddon to this place, Police Plaza. Not sure which is worse.
The room wasn't anything to look at. Plain white walls and a concrete floor. It wasn't a very comfortable accommodation either. The creature was chained to the wall. The handcuffs dug into the creature's wrists. It struggled to break free, but to no avail.
Just then, two lab workers entered to room. The creature sat still. They were carrying an assortment of tools and gadgets. Those don't exactly look like food and water bundles, the creature thought. I'm so hungry, I might have to eat the lab workers.
The creature did not have a chance to eat the lab workers, but maybe that wasn't too bad. Elf meat might not be that good for eating. But then again, you never know. Instead, the workers quickly gave it a heavy sedative shot. The creature slumped to the ground, only partially aware of the restraints being removed. The creature was placed on a stretcher and taken away.
Hours later, the creature woke up to find it was tied to a chair. Great. It could hardly get any worse, the creature thought.
"Can you understand me?" a rough voice asked from behind the creature. The creature squirmed in the chair, trying to turn around.
"Yes, I can understand you!" The creature snapped in flawless Gnommish.
"Good, that will make this a lot easier." Root said, appearing in front of the creature. The creature snarled.
"Do you have a name?" Root asked, unperturbed.
"No. I don't have a name. Nor do I wish to have a name." the creature snapped, its eyes filled with malice.
"Your choice. Anyways, while you were unconscious we tested you for a number of things. Images, memories, and DNA. You know, that stuff. We have confirmed that you were created in Koboi Labs and were involved in a murderous plot above ground. Any of that sound familiar?"
The creature pretended to think about it. "Hmm... let me think. No, none of that sounds familiar." the creature replied sarcastically.
"Okay, thank you. That was very helpful." Root said. "You can take our guest back to its room now."
Two guards strolled into the room. "Consider it done." one said. They hauled the creature out of the room. The creature kicked and lashed out, growling at its escorts.
"You're nice." one of the guards remarked.
