To say that I was surprised by Kurenai's arrival would be an understatement. After about twenty minutes of both Asuma and Kurenai talking me out of my mini panic attack, I was okay. They did have an open relationship, and just asked that they were honest with one another. Didn't mean I'd be jumping in bed with Asuma again, but knowing the option was there... well, he's a good option.

So here we were. Me leaning over the island, lace clad ass in the air, as I talked to Kurenai. Asuma was washing the few dishes that we had used for breakfast. There was a knock at Asuma's door.

"I'll go grab it." Asuma offered as he dried his hands.

I didn't pay attention to what Asuma was saying, or the second voice that joined him in the hallway as he was headed towards the kitchen. Kurenai and I continued making plans for dinner later this week.

*** Kakashi POV ***

Asuma and I were talking about our plans for later. We were going to meet up with Gai for training and then drinks afterwards. I heard Kurenai talking in the kitchen, but couldn't place the second voice. As I approached the doorway, I was greeted with an amazing sight.

A perfectly shaped, toned yet round, lace covered ass. While I had self restraint, I still felt the tug in my pants. I had the urge to-

"Like what you see?" Asuma joked.

The female leaning over the island spun on her heel and I felt my cheeks burn.

Y/n. In Asuma's shirt.

*** Y/n POV ***

I heard Asuma's voice from the doorway, and his statement implied he wasn't alone. I stood straight and spun around to face the two. Men. Asuma and Kakashi.

Fuck.

"Oh, Kakashi, what brings you by?" Kurenai must have seen the struggle Kakashi and I were both having to form words.

The familiar taste of bile rose in my throat. I felt shameful. Embarrassed. Our eyes seemed to be locked in some kind of a silent battle. I was frozen on the spot and so was he. Asuma clapped Kakashi on the back, catching both of our attention. We both looked to the tanned jonin.

"We're meeting Gai for training today. Probably go have a few drinks afterwards." Asuma offered the explanation.

"That sounds like an enjoyable day. I'd love to join you," Kurenai stood and walked to stand beside me, "But I have a mission this afternoon with Kiba and Shino. I should get going."

You're leaving me?!?!

"Have a good day." I smiled softly as I hugged her.

"I'll walk you out." Asuma offered.

Seriously.

So now, Kakashi and I stood facing one another in silence. All alone. I weighed my options. Did it really matter? Why did I care so much about what this man thought. I suddenly felt agitated by my own emotions.

"I'm going to go get dressed."

Kakashi's eye held amusement as he stepped closer. I took a step back, my lower back hitting the island. The distance between us was small. I could smell his intoxicating, almost electric scent.

"Did you have fun last night?"

"I'm not sure what you're implying, Kakashi-sensei."

"Really? First of all, drop the honorifics, you're doing it in spite. Second," he lifted a hand to tug at the hem of the shirt, fingers brushing my bare thigh, "this is definitely not your shirt."
