wooyoung san

04.07.17

another tedious day of school passes by that wooyoung fails to attend. san doesn't know why it suddenly matters so much that the blonde boy who keeps entering his thoughts be there all of a sudden - it's not like he hasn't endured countless other unremarkable days without the other's presence before having met him, but now he finds himself longing to see him. how strange, how wooyoung somehow makes the soporific hours more endurable, livening the atmosphere with his unconscious finesse.

hence the reason the raven haired trudges through the tarmac parking lot so defeatedly, not dissimilarly to a deflated balloon drifting on pointlessly, having succumbed to its fateful demise. san turns the key to his engine aggressively, fed up.

he half debates crashing his car on the way home just for a little excitement, but soon realizes the irony of the thought and winces guiltily. idiot. admittedly, the suggestion from his ill-advised subconscious may be a little eccentric, but just emphasizes the extent of his prevalent boredom.

the other, better advised half of his subconscious forces him to question what kind of a person would crash a car out of boredom ("have you thought about harming yourself?") but he's quick to dismiss that annoying voice too. ("naturally, you might feel guilty.") he is by no means a criminal, and it is not often he gets these questionable borderline psychopathic urges. ("do you have a plan?") only when he's being deprived of something he desperately wants. jung fucking wooyoung.

san clenches his jaw, tightening his grip on the wheel to gain better control of himself, pushing away the memories that entered his mind just now, unbidden. he hasn't been to his apartment for a while, having been avoiding his flatmates due to his last outburst.

perhaps an apology is due. his personal affairs had stirred up everyone on the floor, and san admits he may have overreacted. these people are the closest thing he has to family, yet aren't quite classified as san's friends.

there's kibum, the oldest and self proclaimed wisest of the lot, who san is looking forward to seeing the most, if he's looking forward to seeing anyone. their relationship fluctuates from begrudging acquaintances to almost brothers- as kibum is always looking out for san and certainly knows him the best. he's also known him the longest, which makes san wary of him. he's not a fan of forming any sort of relationship, because he's rather accustomed to losing people.

there's also yeri, who thinks san's cynical view of life is stupid. she is secretly his favourite flatmate, because she has never shown any interest in sleeping with him nor in his life at all. she keeps to herself and lets him keep to his, albeit never shy to criticize his every move.

on the other hand, the person he's looking forward to seeing the least is jungwoo, the reason for san's outburst. they'd always been civil, but san couldn't stand the older's sappy 'love conquers all' attitude. the attitude that quickly faded upon the appearance of his soulmate's name.
as far as san knew, the name had read 'wong yukhei', a lifelong bully of jungwoo's who he absolutely could not believe would love him.

consequently, he and san had ended up sleeping together once or twice, after jungwoo confided in him. not his proudest moments. shamefully, jungwoo's vulnerability had drawn him in, but the relationship had to be stopped before things got complicated. things had been less than cleared up between them before san started avoiding him, so he's unsure of how to face him now. how could he tell someone so sensitive and sweet that he feels absolutely nothing for him?

entering the building, he's surprised to see no one there to greet him or at the very least investigate his entry. so, san proceeds with caution, disturbed by the unsettling quiet and lack of activity.
