san wooyoung

in the week since wooyoung had been the centre of unaddressed tension at yeosang's house, he and hongjoong have been on a total of three more dates.
that might seem like a lot - 43% of his waking hours in seven days, to be specific - but hongjoong had been insistent on getting to know him better. the older hasn't said anything, but wooyoung's able to digress it has something to do with what san had said to him.
for whatever reason, hongjoong clearly feels uneasy not knowing things about wooyoung that san does. and so he has been doing his best to change that on those three days in his ever inquisitively chatty manor.
wooyoung doesn't really mind. he likes hongjoong a lot, nor does it bother him to be the one listening most of the time. the upbeat male can carry on upon a whim for minutes on end, and wooyoung just simply smiles and nods from time to time. it works.
on the second date, hongjoong had held his hand. the action had momentarily surprised the younger, but he had assured the boy it was totally okay when he had proceeded to apologize nonsensically.
there are aspects of this new relationship that wooyoung does not like, of course, but he feels too guilty to admit them. he can't blame hongjoong for not always knowing what to do in certain situations- for trying to help him even when he doesn't need help.
being blind is obviously guaranteed to bring obstacles into any relationship wooyoung has, but he just wishes hongjoong wouldn't walk around the subject on eggshells. that he wouldn't treat it as a thing- a thing that prevents them from normality.
something san never does. san understands that part of him better than anyone else, which makes things easy with him. wooyoung hates that, more than anything. hates the way san knows how he'll react to each touch and kiss, how he knows exactly how to make him tick. okay, maybe hongjoong's insecurities make sense.
but they're friends now. just friends. so he figures he's allowed to acknowledge it. at least with hongjoong, wooyoung feels validated and important. hongjoong is very clear about what he wants, and seems to be a huge fan of labels.
so it's not hard for wooyoung to tell his parents about his new 'boyfriend', whereas he hadn't even known what to introduce san as.
wooyoung ponders this with silent satisfaction, tapping his fingers on the marble counter. cool beneath his skin, it brings some relief in the humidity of his house.
"so, about this boyfriend." his mother suddenly says, as if picking up on his thoughts. "your father and i thought you might like to spend some time with him in the summer."
he just nods politely, not mentioning the fact he's already been doing more than enough of that.
"so how would you like to take a trip down to jeju island? just for a few nights."
wooyoung's jaw practically drops, objections rising within him at the prospect of the idea. he isn't at that stage with hongjoong yet, and definitely isn't comfortable with the trip.
"you want to send your seventeen year old son off with his significant other by himself?" he questions disbelievingly.
"well perhaps not just the two of you-" his mother rushes quickly, flustered. "you should bring some friends. definitely bring yeosang- he's familiar with your needs."
