Within the wastes

You wander the wasteland of a former vast metropolis. As a woman, you try not to make your existence known, for this world is a dangerous place.
Hungry men wanting to either seduce or murder you left and right, for your kin is scarce, yet, you know you're not the only one in existence. Fortunately, you're existence has been unknown to travelers..

Until now.

You began to set up camp in an obscure place within this city, unbeknownst a young man was just around the corner.

You were on the cement floor of an abandoned office building, setting up a fire. The floor, formey carpeted was now bare concrete. With that, burning material was readily available with fragments of plywood desks and doors scattered throughout the obscurely windowed office.

"Hello!" You here a male voice call out from a corner.

In a panic, you brandish your weapon, a broken, rusted metal pipe, to where the voice was coming from. "Hey, stay calm, I don't want to hurt you, I just want someone to talk to. I-I need a friend." From the darkness, you notice a tip of a sniper riffle peak out of the shadows.
'He kinda scares me... Perhaps I shouldn't get too close, yet, something about his voice is quite familiar...' you think to yourself, recalling the last time you glanced at a TV. Blurred images of him and a couple of other guys played throught your head as you remember him shouting in the heat of these brutal games.

"...Show yourself."
Spot on, he was the man you remembered playing sports. You forgot his name, but you think it had something to do with a belt?

"Hi.." He said, he was far more nervous now. "I.. well.. I didn't know you were a woman at first.."
He has the whole shebang, small leather jacket, liberty spikes, but he was missing something, his sunglasses. He takes a seat next to you, and focuses his gaze nervously into the fire.

As you two talk, and get to know each other a bit, you notice his dark, brown eyes gaze at you more. He smiled and blushed, as his gaze went back and fourth..

Though you barely know him, you are sure that he's not a normal guy, that the other girls you know have mentioned. Usually followed by tears, and loss, or pure rage. You stay wary of him though, just to be safe.

That night, in the midst of feverish nervousness, you slept with one eye open just to be sure he wouldn't try to kill you, or worse. He was out like a light bulb, so there was little to worry about... Or so you thought..

Since he was able to find you, you began to wonder if others can see where you were.. Within the moonlight, you began to drift off, fear has left you, yet your situation is quite terrifying..

You wake up to his hand on your arm. You glance up, and your eyes met his in the winter sunlight. He looks like he wants to tell you something, but what, you cannot tell what he wants.

"Good morning, sleepy. How about we go find some food after you wake up a little bit." His voice was kind and gentle..

All fear that you previously bared, had drifted away.

Though you just met him, this man is different than any other's you heard of.
